Blirg
I took this picture on a cloudy night in my backyard. It was like 3 AM and it was freezing out. Pretty windy too. I slept with my curtains open that night.
>>751976634
Sounds nice. I'd keep my windows open but other yell at me to close them because the heat is on. My response is that the heat should be turned off. Not a popular choice.
>>751976141
know where this one is taken?
>>751976875
Yeah, I personally don't like sleeping with my windows open. Only because I don't have a bug screen, so I'd feel like bugs would fly into my room or some shit. I just sleep with the curtains and blinds open to let in the night light
>>751976993
Bugs are dead in the winter, at least where I am. That reminds me to remove me screen this weekend so I can see better over winter.
>>751977420
>>751977119
Makes it look like doggo opens the window and sets it up on his/her own. Good puppy.
>>751977321
Time to unlock my x-mas pic folder. Probably some super comfy stuff in there.
This thread makes me happy.
Thank you OP.

Comfy items. Things you need,
computer
place to park your butt
something to drink
control of temperature
control of lighting
dark room with the AC turned way down in the summer heat
decent sound
security
maybe a cat. two cats. at least two cats.
ounce of cannabis
food
>>751980920
All of this sounds great except for no AC in the summer. I'd rather have heat turned low during the winter and have a pile of blankets.
>>751980920
High AC in the summer
no weed
no cats
no neighbours

That is comfy af/af right there.

A piping hot attic. That sounds comfy.
>>751983530
Seems impossible to use as a seat, but I'd love to sleep in that hole in the wall.
>>751979303
Any more like this?
A figure (preferably female) in the shot amongst a beautiful scenery in the background?
>rain
>snow
>cold
>dark
>broken windows
>nazi concentration camps
this shit isn't comfy
it's depressing
>>751984020
I need to get a long pillow like that. Right now just piling 3 to do that job and takes more effort to set up correctly.
>>751982934
Looks like a moving train. Regardless of train or house, that looks like a comfy set up.
>>751974718
Nigga it's 90fucking degrees here
>>751984551
would not move from there
>>751985130
It isn't a train, look above the man's head. But train compartments can be comfy af.
>>751985417
Oh yeah, seems obvious now.
Snowstorm from a train compartment on a long trip would be pretty great.

>computer, laptop, tablet, phone with epic battle station setup next to big wall-mounted TV
>great sound system
>my digital keyboard, guitars, amp, and nice PA system
>ac turned down super low with blankets and comfy PJs
>rum, beer, wine, mixers
>fully stocked freezer and fridge with tons of food to cook
>several different varieties of weed plus pipes, bongs, papers, and lighters
>adderall
>mushrooms
>maybe one cat, but definitely my two dogs (vizslas) sleeping on the bed in the background
>clear night, windows open and can hear the sound of the ocean
>just me and myself for months
Yeah that's cozy for me.

>>751976019
any chance of a PNG version of this. Jpeg has shitty color banding
>>751988401
As long as it isn't too humid, I approve of that non-winter comfy list. Would switch the adderall and shrooms for kratom and a daily ration of opiates that can only be used that day so no hoarding.
lived on a giant lake before and falling asleep to crashing waves was the best sleep remedy by far.
>>751988401
sorta tropical themed
>>751988614
sadly no, but ive seen it posted often. hopefully a png is out there.
>>751988703
Hey, you take you kratom and opioids and I'll keep my uppers and psychedelics. It's all about finding our individual cozy nirvana, friend-o
>>751988776
Yeah man....that's about what I'd want especially with the blue mood lights.
Damn why can't I just wake up and have like $500,000,000.00 in my account so I can just cozy out for the rest of my life??
>>751980920
My list is
A winter lodge
With a comfy ass fire blazing in the fireplace
A laptop and wifi
Hot chocolate and tea
Dimmer switches to turn down light
A roast dinner
And comfy ass songs like this

Winter in the Colorado mountains is the coziest.
>>751989096
but how does she piss, and where's the booze?
>>751989064
I do kinda like uppers from time to time so i get a bunch of shit done and feel like i accomplished stuff. Really helps on the days when i give zero shits about anything getting done (most days).
money makes the comfy life easier to live, but if you become a weekend comfy warrior you can have a nice setup to enjoy. Take vacations occasionally if that's your thing too.
Plus side is we will have a great time when retired because we love to relax with few responsibilities.
>>751989190
>fire in fireplace
>dim lights
These are important. I hate standard lamps and overhead lights, so fire, candles, dimmed recessed lighting and led lighting that is more orange than white is the way to go.
I'd add in books to read by the fire.
>>751989190
>>751989428
Yeah.....I love cozy threads. Especially around the holidays. Cheers, mate
>>751989661
I agree there the lighting is one of the most important things, and curtains closed at all times except to look outside and see how comfy it looks, not 100% on the books just because I don't know of any genuinely comfy books
>>751989926
That looks cozy as fuck
>>751990047
Same here, love the ambience of the season rather than the gifts/holiday/gathering. Hard to describe exactly.
I feel we will have some nice December comfy threads. Take care
>>751989926
>>751990252
>curtains closed at all times except to look outside and see how comfy it looks
My curtains are closed almost all the time. Exceptions are to enjoy rain/snow/storms occasional cool nights to freshen the air.
For the books, just any book is fine, its more the hobby is comfy. Shit, I'll read textbooks if I have a nice chair to sit in.
>>751976141
Whomever took this photo is a retard. ISO is set way too high.
>>751990515
Oh shit, that is a lot of snow! I kinda want to be snowed in at a mountain cabin where meters fall over the course of a week. Hang out inside giving zero fucks about it.
>>751990633
Does that cause the grainy effect?
>>751990673
what is this? Its too big for a train and seems to small for a hotel.
>>751990800
It's a ship.
>>751990851
Ahh, makes sense now. I'd love to go on a ship like that, but no interest in traditional cruises. Too many people, too much disease, kids, old people, annoying people, etc. I'd rather be on a cargo ship with just the rest of the crew and me, nothing fancy.
>>751977119
is that in Berlin anon?
>>751981727
Hooly so comfy makes me shiver
>>751990969
It's Belgium. My guess is Bruges.
I feel like every places can be comfy if there is the good light/filter
>>751990930
Get a large, overnight ferry. Not the same as a cruise ship as its more utilitarian.
Ferries are comfy as fuck in the winter.
Anyone have a fireplace in the bedroom? Wondering if its as comfy as I imagine.
>>751991322
Is it easy enough to hop port to port with ferries as opposed to the same cruise ship visiting them all? Also, is this used in Europe a lot?
Be nice to get off and stay at a cool city for a day on a whim.
>>751991641
I love it in my Colorado, isolation cabin. It's super comfy to get a full fire going, but it also takes some effort to upkeep. Also it takes effort to clean the chimney and the worst of all, having heat loss that goes directly in the air when you're not using it unless you really insulate it.
I live in a sweet average sized hut in the Colorado Rocky Mountains for some of the year with the fireplace in the main room which is my living room and it's honestly excellent to burn your own wood that you chopped to heat yourself in the dead of winter. I also have oil heating, but I tend to use it conservatively of it when I'm up here.
I love having to go outside into the snow and getting some logs that I chopped earlier and throwing them into the fire and playing some video games while I wait for the mountain roads to thaw.
Also I somehow have 100down.25up cheaper than in Denver when I'm up here.
>>751992706
you have it figured out anon. I had a coworker that just slept in the main room with his wife on a big couch next to their iron stove. He seemed to find that blissful. Not sure if it was oil based, as he was fat as fuck and doubt he ever chopped a piece of wood (not that i have).
>>751992553

>Also I somehow have 100down.25up cheaper than in Denver when I'm up here.
What do you mean?
I almost got a job in Boulder a few years ago. Seemed like the perfect place. Beautiful, mountain in the city limits, young college town vibe, lots of breweries and a decent downtown. Sadly they never offered me a job, but I still hope to someday live there.
>>751993010
I do and I think there's something very primal about being in front of a fire and I love sleeping near it.
Tthe women I get involved with love it as well and tell me that it's some of the best sleep they've ever had, along with maybe sleeping on the coast of the beach.
There are also kind of superficial things you can do like gas fireplaces that have ceramic firewood in it. They get maybe 70% there, but nothing really beats the real thing.
>>751993516
nah, stay awhile and listen
>>751993691
Ive used the fake logs that are basically condensed charcoal kinda stuff. They were surprisingly realistic, but didn't have the radnom pops and flare ups from natural wood. Still loved that and miss having a working fireplace. Mine needs work, quoted $2000 to fix it up so not sure when I will get it done.
>>751993691
>>751993952
id just sleep in there, no need for a bedroom
>>751993640
I get nearly perfect 100MB download/ 25 upload a few minutes outside of Evergreen up the slope a bit.
I'm not originally from the area and I would fucking hate to live or commute daily into Boulder. It does have lots of young people and lots of neat bars and restaurants, but it's also shitty expensive for what it is especially when you account for the homeless and the junkies.
It's definitely better than most towns in the US, but it's far from perfect.
>>751994108
better service than i have in generic suburb.
If i was working in Boulder I'd live within walking/biking distance of work. Communting from most anywhere else there would be pretty shitty. I remember the airport being well over an hour away.
>>751994337
> I'd live within walking/biking distance of work
Maybe, unless you realized that Boulder is fucking expensive. Most people working in Boulder commute in either from Denver or the North. Some even commute in from the mountains. There's a reason why there are more things to do here and service is better tha in the middle of bumfuck, USA.
> I remember the airport being well over an hour away.
DIA is 45ish miles away from Boulder, roughly 45 minutes away on a good day. Not too bad considering the entire drive up is beautiful.
>>751994848
Job would have paid really well. At worst there is cheaper and shitter student housing to live in, but I would have had enough for a 1 bedroom apartment in town.
Thought about living in the mountains and coming down, but figured with the snow that would just be a disaster.
Comfy? Nothing but shit.
This is the only thread that wasnt shit on the front page when i woke up and got on, fuck

>didn't have the random pops and flare ups
I spent months last winter working up at a country park cutting trees and shit. The best part was the huge 'burn pile' they'd have each week. Tons of crackling and pops, super relaxing.
>>751996006
Nice, I'll sometimes put on youtube loops of crackling fires. Not the same as the real thing but still relaxing.
Can only imagine how loud the purring would be and how long before kitty uses me as a toy. If the cat was still friendly, that would be fucking awesome to have a cat as a couch.
