I lived on a farm growing up and I've hung out with just about every kind of mutt and purebred. We had as many as 8 full grown dogs at one time. The best dogs, bar none are retrievers, labs and hound mutt mixes. The worst are rat dogs. Close to that are pitt bulls.
They're unlike other dogs. They're not mean, per se, but they're territorial and stare down. Knowing they can kill and lock their jaws is an instant turn off for me
