lol, i just now realized how much i ripped off prodigy, anyone remember that isp? like most of the isp's as the time they had dial up and get the list of local numbers since long distance fees were ridiculous. it called a toll free number and it had to log in to download them. the name and password it used for that download was in an ini file. i just put that in manually for the dialup connection and they didn't/couldn't change it for like a year since it was needed for new users to get the list. once they sent out new cds i'd just grab the new name and pass. i did try and use local numbers when available, but when they would disappear i'm sure i was racking up some kind of fees for them with hours of 800 number use.

Never happen. I read in my dad's Popular Science that a CD is made by a laser burning a tiny hole inside the disk. So, whenever the reader passes over it, it know ONE or ZERO. How the hell will you be able to "heal over" the burned hole to be able to record again?
