I know we have the internet and its all out there in digital form, but I generally don't like reading screens for long periods of time. Its also nice to sit and look at the bookshelfs to see what I've read, what I want to read, and to just pick something and sit in a comfy chair by the fire.

I used to live on the water. I would watch the water from my backyard for hours and would love when ever it rained being able to hear it hitting the bay or whenever the water would flood above the grass in the yard. I've missed it since I've moved to a desert but this really hit me harder than I expected.

Also, I think the real difference between relaxing and /comfy/ is the element of seclusion. It's not enough to just have a tranquil or relaxing environment, you need to be alone there, or at least have a sense of being alone. The secluded rural cabins are the most obvious way to capture this feeling, but the same feeling is possible on a deserted street or in the middle of a city at night, when stuff is happening all around you but you're disconnected from it, just watching, or doing your own thing with the city as a backdrop.
