Well, yes and no. Since they decided to only use milliseconds since epoch (probably was good enough way back when) it's not entirely unlikely for two images to be generated at the same time. Of course, ya it is pretty lazy that they don't bother to fix it by like namespacing the images to the thread they're in or something.

No need to use a namespace, just even add 3 random numbers at the end.
That's what we do with transaction IDs at the bank I work. Every web service call has an ID generated as timestamp.XYZ where xyz is random, and the probability of collision is basically 0. (it doesn't need to be guaranteed 0 because that ID is only used for troubleshooting, not for business)
