Because she isn't real.. ;-;
Would you call your symptoms hallucinations, also do they tend to reoccur. Or are they always different?

How long do you wait to get a girl before you swap teams.
Cute trap been flirting at me at work.
Passable but has to dress like a guy at work.
They meet me out of work, I thought they were a girl at first.
Been flirting a lot in and out of work with me.
Not disgusted, lonely and know I more then likely won't find a girl.
So how long should I keep telling myself I am not gay before breaking down and fucking them

I would call some of them hallucinations, yes.

Yes, the primary ones do reoccur quite frequently.
>Or are they always different?
Not always, but there are usually some that are different.
>>746075343
>How long do you wait to get a girl before you swap teams.
Well, I myself will never swap teams.

Well, I don't necessarily "cope" with them. I just kind of let them be.
>Do you ignore them or actively engage them?
It all depends on how I feel. I usually engage with them though.
>Which do you find works better?
Well, they're both pretty ineffective, honestly.
>>746077110

I've seen so many of your threads, even talked to you in a few. But to this day I wonder as to what your purpose is here, and what questions you're trying to answer. Because doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the textbook definition of insanity- which may be redundant to point out, but I'll do it anyway because you cold sit here for the next decade and not get anywhere new

How do you engage with them?
Personally, I put in a lot of effort to create scenes for them to occupy in my imagination. For example, I have a voice that likes to talk philosophy. He hangs out in a living room with some comfy chairs and a fire. Made him calm down a lot and now I can summon him whenever I'd like a chat about philosophy.
I'm not sure if this would work for other people but I've found a lot of relief from the negative aspects of my own schizophrenia doing this.

>What are your voices like?
A lot of them are manifestations of the aspects of my personality I do not like. But, that's a given.
Mine are often tangled in odd things, things I myself would not normally think of. Such as subjectivity, emotions (primarily my own).
They're also focused a lot on the existential questions of "life".
>Would you be able to let your voices type out answers to questions?
They themselves do not have access to motor functions. I can type what they say (if they say anything) sometimes.
>>746079074

>>746079042

Well that's an interesting thing to say, because limitations you put on yourself can be helpful, hindering or hurtful. I hope your strange journey goes well my guy. I'd like to see how/if it ends, cause it looks like you've got a pretty unique experience
>Working is a bit of a strong word. But, it hasn't failed.

At first my voices were very negative, but I starting acting as my own therapist for the voices and that seemed to help them be more positive, or at least they became manageable. What sorts of things do they say?
My voices are usually tangled up in childhood memories which can make for some weird associations.

The original intent was to be helpful, but now that has passed. They've grown out of their use and are more hindering than helpful. But, they've been so far ingrained in who I am there isn't a lot to do about it.
>I'd like to see how/if it ends

You're not schizophrenic, Your mom and/or dad delved into the occult and mingled with other humans in orgies or cult practices while they were i college, or your mom swallowes lots of dudes, and you are experiencing hightened awareness, witnessing other's sights and sounds.

>What aspects of your personality do you not like
The parts of myself I tried to lock away many years ago.
All the negative stuff. Anxiety, self-doubt, fear, self-loathing, etc.
>if you don't mind me asking?
I don't mind at all, that is the point of an AMA.
>What sorts of things do they say?
A lot of the time it's word salad. If they find a tangible thing to focus on though, they will focus on the negatives about it. Especially, if it's something I myself have been focused on.
They're not always negative though, I often talk to them about fairly enjoyable things. Like the universe, how life may have come into existence, etc.
>My voices are usually tangled up in childhood memories which can make for some weird associations.
I can somewhat relate to that.

Hi OP, do you drink or do drugs?
>>746080577
>The parts of myself I tried to lock away many years ago.
Yeah I know what you mean. Those parts always seem to find a way to break out of their prison and assert themselves. What led you to try and lock those parts away? For me the process is sometimes difficult, but I've found a way to just accept those parts of myself for what they are. Finding a way to validate the negative emotions e.g. saying to them "It makes sense you would feel that way" always seems to make them feel better.
Could I ask a question to your voices and have them answer?
>What do you mean?
Like what's your worldview? For example, I would say I believe in something like reincarnation, so the perspective my voices take about things aligns with that. My guilt voice will say things like "If you don't try your best you'll have to deal with the consequences in your next life." Sometimes when these negative aspects get overwhelming I become catatonic because I'm afraid the next thing I do will make things not just bad, but eternally bad. Sometimes it's a lot to deal with.
>>746081223
>not bad reaction to meds just the rare 1 outta 20 people that see shit

That might be part of your problem then my guy- you've got to let yourself believe it's possible too
>>746081449
>What led you to try and lock those parts away?
You know, I don't know exactly. This is something I was roughly thinking about a few nights ago. The only thing I could even come close to as an answer was "to gain some control".
>Could I ask a question to your voices and have them answer?
You can try, there's no guarantee they'll answer though. It's been pretty much silent today.
>Like what's your worldview?
Hmm, I identify as "pantheist", it's the closest thing to my religious belief but doesn't nail it exactly.
I believe in a similar idea to "reincarnation" but not exactly.
I don't believe that your actions in this life influence your "next life". But, the knowledge you gain can be "transferred". Though not in its entirety.

>>746082115
>"to gain some control".
And it doesn't work, right?
What are you afraid you might do, if you let go of the control you think you're asserting?
Here's a question I pose to my own voices: what do you want?
Sometimes it takes a while for their answers to make much sense, but it seems to make them more focused in a constructive way.
>>746074843
Hi OP, not schizo, but it runs in my mom's side really hard and i have a bunch of early warning signs for it developing later in life (or maybe it's just masked rn? Idk.)
Anyway, prepare for an unfair onslaught of questions.

this is definitely a fair point, but risk is involved in most things in life- especially things that're worth while

Disembodied faces and heads
A huge lumbering black shadow figure that wears a black trenchcoat, and has no eyes. He stands in doorways and just stares at me.

>>746082377
>And it doesn't work, right?
It does.
>What are you afraid you might do, if you let go of the control you think you're asserting?
BAD things.
I have no shadow of a doubt that I am asserting control.
>what do you want?
To make things as clear, to illuminate what cannot be seen through standard knowledge and viewing of the world.
An outside opinion from one's subjective self, completely objective.
>>746082404

>why not take meds?
I don't take any medications for anything, including simple things like headaches. It violates my core beliefs.
>how do you wish others would treat you as a schizophrenic?
I have no opinion on this matter.

That doesn't sound bad. It sounds good to me. Maybe the "bad" things are a way to get there? I've done some "bad" things in my time and, while I wouldn't repeat them, I do feel I've learned some very valuable things from them. A lot of what we think of as "bad" is just in our head anyway, things that society says but which are complete bullshit.
What bad things are you afraid of doing, specifically?

If you truly don’t think take any medicine then you are amazing OP. I’ve seen and read some of the shit schizos go through and it’s like living in nothing short of a horror movie. Often times I’ll get really nervous or sesnsitive to people tailing me in their care, or notice how dark it is in a room, or imagine I feel a presence, but it fades when I wake up. I have no doubt in my mind I would an hero if I was a schizo.
My question: if you see these things then At least part of you must see them as “real” - right? How do you function normally when you see horrific unexplainable shit like faceless men in trechcoats every day? If you can discern them from reality how/why are you still seeing them?

I would repeat them, and I have.

>How do you function normally when you see horrific unexplainable shit like faceless men in trechcoats every day?
I don't see it every day. It's only really when I'm psychotic that I have visual hallucinations.

>>746083982
>Causing as much chaos as possible.
I used to worry about this same thing. I would say this to you, like I've said to myself: the things you've done make sense for what you've gone through. Others judge only because they have been fortunate enough to not be exposed to the shit we have, the kind of shit that's made us what we are.
In a sense, people like us are blessed. We see so much more of the world than others see. I don't think you're a bad person, anon - you are only conscientious of yourself. Others don't even notice their abuse and neglect, and I promise you others are more abusive and neglectful than you are without even being aware what they're doing.
I think you're doing a good job, anon. The fact you even worry about these things shows that.
I must be off to bed, perhaps we will meet in another thread.

Figuring out what you want involves searching for what you care about and how certain things make you feel, general soul searching and all that. I think that doing a variety of things and thinking about it actively could help

If you see figures or full-bodied persons, if you have tried staring at them what happens? Do they talk? Do the disappear/reappear randomly?

First the said I was depressed, gave me pills, then OCD, gave me pills, then bi-polar, gave me pills. None of them worked and some of them tried multiple drugs. I can't see a psychiatrist, and I wouldn't even if it were free. I think they are all lying to sell drugs instead of helping. But not doing anything makes me feel worse. I don't think I hallucinate (I'm pretty sure someone has to tell you that you are), but I am very paranoid and skeptical of every person I know, including family.

>>746092369The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

I only remember a little of it.
I was on the porch with my friend, I don't recall why but something happened inside and I wanted to go outside.
Then the wind blew really hard and I had this idea that the world was about to end. I remember being completely panicked to the point I was sure we were all going to die.
Then this white van drove by and I was sure that they were there to kidnap me. The van drove around the block again and I got so panicked I went inside
That's all I can remember.
