Oh yeah! I forgot about that. In This Moment's new album Ritual is also their most accessable. You should definitely check it out. It's got a cover of "In the Air Tonight," the Phil Collins song, which is the craziest fucking song to cover but they did it so well, it was astounding. The drugs may have sped up your recovery, but you would have likely made a full recovery without them. The drugs themselves did not cure you though.
Drug-induced psychosis is caused by the drugs fucking up your dopamine receptors, all you need is to wait for them to heal. Then you're fine again as long as you don't fuck them up again with more drugs.
Anti-psychs don't do anything to heal the brain, all it does it inhibit the parts that cause you to have the symptoms.

I can't pretend to know if schizophrenia gets really bad when it's severe, or how easy it is to deal with this when it's really mild.
Mine is somewhere in the middle of the road, according to my psychiatrist.
We manage my problems by talking. Sometimes I get really depressed about, and I struggle. We tried drugs, but nothing really worked for me. When it did work, it left me without wanting to be alive, so it wasn't a worthy trade-off.
For anyone curious, this is part of my day as a schizophrenic who KNOWS about my own problem:

She's literally the bitch-queen of a rather large family and sees herself as the god-sent avatar of the All Mighty.
So, TL:DR
Schizophrenia (at least the average version) can be controlled by sheer will, IF YOU CAN IDENTIFY IT yourself. Though even that can be a problem, because believing someone else that you're not entirely "normal" can go pretty bad, pretty quick. Good luck to everyone who's not a faggot OP.
