It is extremely hard to find quality wood, and it is also very expensive. Let's not mention the labor cost of a proper team that does not fuck up the installation.
Had wooden floor at a rented apartment, it made like >130dB noises every time you stepped on it. Shit was awful. It also had gaps, it discolors and so on.
You have to take care of it really good.

Again, installation is very hard. It also gets scratched/scuffed, so no matter how "resistant" it is, it can be still easily damaged.
And there is one more thing. They are printed. And even if the tiles are made on the same day, they will not look 100% OK. So you have to get ALL the tiles from the same batch.
tl;dr: Carpet is cheapest / comfiest to install/clean/work with.
