>Take a moment to think about everything satellites do. GPS, surveillance and communications all depend on them.
And the Scientific American notes you can disable satellites without missiles. Simply spray-painting lenses or breaking antennas is enough.

>>>> getting your satellite into the same orbit direction as the satellite you want, estemate its speed and increase your satellites speed to overtake it in x hours to days
>close that distance of x hundred miles to FEET and hope you're on the right corner of it while both are orbiting at thousands of miles an hour
>stick a spray can out of your satellite to fuck up someones day

why.

uh, it's been peer reviewed by several countries and nasa at this point.
it doesnt put MUCH thrust more than energy you input, but it does output more than it should given what we know about physics.
it doesn't mean its more efficient or useful than current engines.
why would you post this garbage.

bubble fully burst, thank you

by the way re earlier the reason I brought up the supposedly unreasonable idea of legal power being brought to bear in the transgender thing is because it's objectively already happening, both there and with gay issues (suing bakeries for not baking a gay wedding cake, etc). It doesn't matter what reasonable people want out of gay/trans rights because the extreme has a way of forcing itself into lives it has no business doing that in

im not saying it doesn't work. the fact that it does have output thrust at all is an interesting and fascinating place to do more research. a new manhattan project would be amazing for science and technology sectors in america! the reason i bothered posting that video at all is that no one realizes that the output thrust is on the very edge of scientifically measurable amounts. people should be aware about its extremely early stage of development and the possibility that it might not actually work despite being peer reviewed.

americans have shown time and again that the only way to settle things that they disagree on is to go to court with it. rather than having a civil discussion, they want a long, expensive, barely civil fight over it.

if it wasn't the extreme left wing getting its way, the extreme right wing would inevitably do the same in outlawing the very idea of gays, lesbians, and transexuals to be legitimate in the first place.

after spending a great deal of time with these types, i agree with you that transexuals are largely an illusion of the sex they portray, as they more than likely will never be able to birth new life, but that's no reason to deny someone to pursue life as they please.

as far as business owners are concerned, they should know that operating a public entity means loosing some of the absolute freedoms that a private individual has, such as being free to associate (or do business) with whom they please. that negatively impacts trade and reduces social efficiency. its the same reason you can't have public, "whites only" bars anymore.

There's never been thought crime legislation to that extent in the US and anti-sodomy laws haven't existed in almost 2 decades

also, private businesses are not "public entities". They are exactly as private as anything else a private individuals do, because it is a private individual disposing of his property as he sees fit. Yes, that means I should be able to have a white only bar. Blacks can take their business elsewhere, people who aren't racist can do so as well, and my business will fail.

businesses operate under the _privilege_ of a state and must obey state law. as such they are an extension of the public entity of the state. as a citizen you have no obligation to open your property to others, but as a business you must accept the business of the general public.
>>
>>713658050
that is literally antithetical to the founding principles of the country, property rights are inherent to that, as well as freedom of association. Dictating that one cannot choose to associate or disassociate as one chooses is toxic to freedom
>>
scotus has repeatedly upheld the idea that freedom of association is inherent to 1a also

>>
>>713658601
businesses are still operated under the priviledge of the state. if you don't want to follow state law, then your business license will lapse and you can be a private person with an empty shop and no privilege to sell anything as your ability to take and submit taxes to the state are required to do business.
>>
>>713659164
Yes, you're literally describing how the law technically operates. I'm explaining that that is inherently in violation of both the constitution and an elementary understanding of freedom as a concept. Mine is a moral, not a legal argument, here, because I'm talking about leftist overreach.
>>
>>713659280
except laws are exactly how americans determine morals. the reason every disagreement turns into a lawsuit is literally because of this. america was founded on the idea that only white men should have the ability to vote, not because they were rich but because they had to stand up in front of their community and tell everyone who and why they voted.
>>
hey dudes
>>
>>713659820
>except laws are exactly how americans determine morals
what? They damn well aren't. Morally relevant laws aren't passed until politicians espousing those laws are voted into office, by people who've decided there's a moral imperative to pass said law. That's ass backwards.
>>
>>713660023
ass backwards is exactly america. putting the individual above the society is ass backwards. putting the private privilegde of the wealthy above the needs of a nation is ass backwards.
>>
>>713660238
we have never put the individual before society. On the contrary, america recognizes that society is strongest when people are given the greatest possible freedom: cooperation is simply more viable than isolation. Inertia alone makes cooperation inevitable.

The nation does not need to steal money from wealthy people to pay for the poor. It is insanely easy to be not poor in america and it only requires not making terrible decisions.
>>
>>713660509
except when slaves were considered property and that lead to the civil war. an entire section of our society held onto their property as a means to continue their wealth and priviledge over the needs of the owned individual. ever since then, we've treated anyone who wasn't a straight white man as a second class citizen. the fact it took two hundred years for the civil rights act to pass is evident that america needs its morals codified into law, less individuals act in poor social manner.
>>
>>713661390
You know the civil war wasn't intended to free the slaves, right? It was over the expansion of slavery into the new territories. And explain to me the leap of logic that allows you to respond to an argument FOR FREEDOM with saying "but well slavery"

Christ alive.
>>
privilege*
>>
>>713661529
yeah im aware, but the fact these things happen show how headstrong this nation and its continuing culture of individual over society has persisted. the policy of containment only breeds deeper cultural resentment as seen with the south and the ussr. the fact that a nation of individuals who once found strength in unity can no longer can even have a civil discussion about the importance of the needs of all versus the needs of a few shows me that if america is ass backwards its because it's always been that way.
>>

But America isn't ass backwards by any extent. Despite its hilarious and actively detrimental cultural and ethnic diversity, we are the most powerful, richest, and freest country that has ever existed. Not that currently exists, that has ~ever~ existed. This is not a country that is ass backwards, this is a country of unspeakable brilliance. Yes, we have several actively malignant minorities - we persist in spite of them and they too are enriched by our system, even if they're inevitably bitter about it.

Luckily, corporations and banks don't count as individuals.

I guess corporations are made of plush pokemon dolls or something

Except your whole system is founded on the ideal outs okay to exploit other's and natural resources despite the fact we've discovered that this is only ever detrimental to humanity.

But greatest country in the world amirite!

They must be, considering the amount of loop holes, pay outs and get out of jail free cards they are afforded.

That exploitation has led to less of the world being hungry than at any point in history. That exploitation has created a population BOOM in sub saharan africa, which produces NOTHING - because America and the west are so endlessly productive that we can sustain a continent of billions of useless people. If you call that exploitation, it is the most virtuous possibility imaginable.

>powerful, richest, and freest country
only due to ww1/ww2 not touching us except in making us more rich and more powerful by selling weapons of destruction. america values war more than peace. arguments more than agreements. the individual more than society. wealth more than poverty. humans have never existed this way until modern history.

I want to point out the difference between causality and correlation. But I've a feeling you're far too deep into the kool aid to listen to reason.

And it stands to reason that the exploitation of those people is the reason they're I that mess to begin with. Try googling blood diamonds, apartied, middle eastern slave labor, Israel and Palestinian conflict, Belgian influence on the Rwandan genocide.

This is all mostly moot though, due to you being unable to even recognize US plutocracy being happy to exploit it's own country. Not only that, you'll defend it.

That's ass backwards

>weapons of destruction
Do you think weapons can ever NOT exist? Do you think disarmament is a viable option? Or do you understand that conflict is a basic part of human nature? Being the best at it is commendable, especially when our virtues are as great as they are. Understand that we defend the entirety of the civilized world WITHOUT occupying them or conquering them. That is historically unprecedented. You're right, modern history is entirely new - it is much, much better than any previous point.

I know about every single thing you've listed and it's still irrelevant. The destruction of west africa is the responsibility of west africans originally, who sold their own population into slavery and depleted those populations to the point of unsustainability. Regardless, all of those, you may have noticed, have nothing to do with the virtues of america. That notwithstanding, of course there is still exploitation. There has been exploitation as long as man looked upon than his fellow and knew himself to be stronger. There is always an exploiter. The US, western civilization, are the most benevolent of all possible exploiters.

>disarmament
no weapons will always exist, what a foolish thing to even ponder.

ww1+ww2 wiped out the western world during a time when china and russia were just barely getting started into the industrial revolution (which caused the modern era and started in europe btw), leaving america the last one standing and free to shape the world as it saw fit.

in the meantime, america has spent it's soft power to make money for the individual at the cost of the society. it spent its soft power fighting authoritarians in the ussr while trying to convince everyone that the real tyrant was the burden of society. now we've elected the donald and cemented the image of a deeply distressed nation around the globe.

the era of america is setting and the rise of eurasia and eastasia is beginning. i too look forward to joining you in oceania.
