Faced with the same consistent threat all moral systems will have effectively the same response to that threat.

Most counter-examples which makes moral relativism seem real have been documented by, guess who, Christians, often missionaries to boot - they want morality to be relative because they want to sell the idea of divinely given "child morality" where a fear of divine reprisal enforces a specific system. I am not particularly religious in the sense that i actively worship something, however, I maintain a strong belief in the presence of spirits and magic. My family (and several other families we are close to) has journals dating back a very long time that show a continued belief in these same principles for over 400 years with commentary that it goes much farther back than this.
My family members are free to not continue belief in these matters if we choose not to and we respect and support the decisions not to and do not in any way hold it against them (though out of decency we don't talk about it around their kids especially).
I chose to continue this tradition and have brought my wife into these traditions and intend to bring my kids into it (though i will respect them if they choose another path) mainly because I enjoy the closeness with history and nature our beliefs promote.

Well, each family member has spiritual aspects they find. Each has a flower, tree and three stones they consider to be an aspect. I don't know if I fall under some kind of religion, because I only know the really basic religions. Agnostic sounds pretty close to me, but I'll just toss in my 2 cents and leave it up for discussion and conversation.

I believe Life truly has no responsibilities. The meaning of life, is to be content, and happy, and to feel accomplishment. And whatever makes you happy is the meaning to your life. Death is a little harder, since I don't dabble too much in it. In short, I believe the human body simply dreams about its past life, and instead of replaying it's own life, instead it's vague memories of several time periods, and 'dimension' is rather lucid. You can do anything with these memories. This ties in with my beliefs of life because if you achieve the meaning of your life, then you'll have happy memories for your death to enjoy.
Another slight possibility is a form of reincarnation. I don't know how Buddhist reincarnation actually works, so forgive me if my form of reincarnation is the same as Buddhist or some other physiology. Basically, my idea of reincarnation is to be another live entity, in a different universe, whether that's the same world in a different time period, or another universe not even imaginable to our range of creativity. You have no recognition of your previous life, but you do realize you're an Alive being, and begin to live like normal in that universe.
I can continue if there's interest. My ideas might just seem silly or even heretic to others.
