Heat a pan until very hot. Add oil. Sear steak. Add butter, thyme and garlic. Continue cooking. Use spoon to put butter on top of steak while its cooking. Let it rest for half the cooking time. Sear it again with a blow torch. Add coffee butter on top.

If you have to ask, it's too difficult. Practice makes perfect, though. Use a pork loin for practice; that cut is much cheaper and you won't feel awful when you fuck up your first one.

Also, you need a thermometer to determine interior temperature. Do not omit.

>curry can be a very complex combination of ingredients and spices

Curry is a word Brits promoted to refer to any Indian stew. It's not a word that's nearly as prominent in India.

If its 'curry' you want, though:
- color: turmeric (flavor too, though its color is more prominent)
- main spice: coriander
- secondary spice: cumin
- accent spices: cardamom, clove, star anise, cinnamon

and i realise that my english is broken as fuck.

pasta on, water to boil pasta in
heat a wok style pan, hot pan, cut asparagus in thirds..olive oil (not virgin) in pan or some other non smoking oil, asparagus in....cook till al dente ...remove asparagus, chicken in, season salt and pepper while stirring. as chicken brounds, flip, a little paprika in. turn off heat...get rid of oil, add some coconut cream....mix till thick, throw in asparagus, mix

Not OP but I'll bite. Sounds like your typical frozen salmon.

First of all don't defrost in lukewarm water, let it defrost in your refrigerator overnight.
Are you just eating the salmon on it's own? Try it with some rice and vegetables.
Spices that go well with salmon? Salt & pepper is all you really need, use some garlic, rosemary, or lemon if you want a more complex flavor.
The key to cooking salmon well is to caramelize the outside of your fish(golden brown & slightly crispy) while keeping the inside properly cooked and all of the albumin(white protein goop) from coming out of the fish. Get a pan, coat with olive oil, medium-high heat, season your salmon and drop it in the pan, let it cook on both sides. IMO good salmon is cooked to MEDIUM doneness which is slightly raw on the inside.

Well if the oven doesn't work tell your fucking landlord to fix it....that's why you pay rent
so in the meantime...go on craigslist and but a slow cooker. Stop Buying chicken breasts...they are expensive and they are the driest tasting part of the bird. Buy legs, thighs and wings. in a skillet quickly brown each leg or thigh on each side, throw into slow cooker while you are at school fresh veggies in, potatoes....whatever.
when you are home dinner is ready. As for the garlic, if you had an oven, full bulb of garlic...cut top off...soak in olive oil, wrap in tin foil, bake for an hour...voila! roasted garlic...add to any food or stew or toast...amazing
good luck with school
