I never went into deliveries expecting tips - if i got one, I'd say thanks, give a smile, and walk away. I did it to make ends meet for a little while. Tipping is nice, but not needed. Depends on how you order it. If it's online, the computer at the make line goes off with the order and they prepare it off to the side. If you made the order at the counter or called it in, it gets put into the system by a CSR/Driver/Insider/Manager/literallywhoeverthefuckisavailable.
Roll the dough in cornmeal and throw whatever you asked for on it, goes in the oven where it cooks and comes out of the other side after several minutes. Take it out, cut it up, stick it in its box. Wait for pickup or shout out delivery up, and it goes on its way.

The "person who is making your pizza" isnt the same person everytime. The name should usually be the manager on shift. Chances are someone else makes the pizza, or at least works part of it.
My store usually had insiders taking turns making pizzas when it was slow. When we meeded multiple people, whoever was the best dough stretcher (usually the manager) would stretch, then slide it to another guy who would sauce and top.

Had a few people order one of every topping then seem supprised at the price. Also suprised when the dough isnt cooked enough in the center, cause you know, more toppings will make it take longer to cook properly.
Once when it was slow we made a pizza with tripple of all the meats on it. Was absoutly disgusting and tasty at the same time cause once again the center wasnt properly cooked.
