they both tend to draw their characters in dynamic poses and very expressive faces, they also use a lot of lines for detail or motion, even though they use those line differently
I can understand where you're coming from in saying that the two are similar, but when you take a look at them side by side the difference between them should be more than clear

So I decided to do some digital painting and was reminded of why I don't do digital painting.
I don't have a very good understanding of how light works.

Don't worry, some are good at coloring, some are good at drawing. I'm pretty fucking terrible at coloring.
What i'd recommend is to color simpler things before going for the more advanced things :C
