The only reason Trump won, was because of voter apathy from the democrats created from Clinton stealing the primaries from Bernie Sanders.
Republican voter participation has been consistently the same in the past 3 elections, the previous two whom were over-shadowed by Obama's 2 term campaigns; a candidate Democrats WANTED.
This year, the Dems didn't want Clinton, but she forced herself in there anyways. People were stuck with a candidate no one wanted. Therefore, they stayed home instead of voting for the sake of not seeing Trump win (which they should've anyways, but I don't blame them for not voting anyways)
