The other thing about female artists is they're fucking good at fanart.
Not all of them but when you find fan art that looks perfectly on model or close to it but improved in subtle ways something like 80% of the time that's a female.
It's really impressive. This is why i think Beth Yama is probably a female, He/she does very refined yokai watch fanart, and is a little wonky on the nude anatomy from time to time.

I dont believe that's true, they're excellent as animators for adaptations because of their ability to draw on model but as far as originality goes I find the best manga and game artists are 8 times out of 10 male.
It's a give and take the japanese female was blessed with a phenomenal ability to copy and the man was blessed with the ability to create.
Of course there's always exceptions, like Hiromu Arakawa. FMA had a quite inspired art style. I was totally into that shit.

I think males and females are pretty even in the area of fine motor skills in regards to a soft modern society.
Before our time the housewife would have no doubt been better at the miniscule stuff as a Man's job was usually torture to their hands making it callous up and repeated injuries practically disabling them in regards to something as fine as art, but even still men who never or rarely did burdenous work due to status or intentionally honed tallent rose to become fine artists in japan along with women, completely excluding women in the west but that was definitely an oppressive thing.
And looking at today I see an anime industry dominated by phenomenal male artists from Matsumoto Norio and Inoue Toshiyuki in animation to Murata Yusuke, Miura Kentaro and Horikoshi Kohei in manga among many many more
