There was actually a really good story where some fluffy ponies had been recruited by death as guides for the souls as recently deceased. What I thought was an interesting take was that the simple and naive mind of a fluffy was also very wholesome, and its child-like love was very helpful in helping those souls transition. I'm going to have to look for that one.
