you know, I'd never normally post in a thread like this, but something happened today that's got me a little scared.
See I've just moved to uni and, through some unfortunate circumstances, I'm now living in a 6 bedroom house alone.
Its a perfect house honestly but it wasnt put up for listing because it doesnt yet have a HMO liscense to allow it to be classed as student housing but I was too late looking for a house and my landlord stuck me in here as I was desperate and didnt have any other options.
its in a perfect location. litterally across the street from the uni campus but the house was pretty much derelict (case in point: it didnt have internet access for the 1st 2 months I lived here) there was one other person living in the house at the same time as me but he left on the 3rd day whereas I decided to stick it out and make this place habitable.
an odd thing is that on my 3rd day here I went out to a club (trying to make friends at freshers, didnt work out so well) I got talking to this girl and brought up my weird living situation, I told her my street name and she was like

I questioned her about this murder house and she was like:

you know, Im sort of scaring myself writing my story out. I had a curry heating up downstairs and I just had to work up the nerve to leave my room and go dish it up, living on your own is scary man,
anyway the doors in my house all autoclose and auto lock. theyre like this cause theyre trying to get this student housing liscense and they need to autoclose for fire code or some shit. the locks are just for students privacy probs. but I only have the key to my room, and the bathroom and kitchen dont need keys (obviously)
so all the other doors in the house are locked but their keys are in the locks so I can enter if I ever have a reason to want to (I dont)
to give an idea of the layout of the house:
you enter on the top floor where you can either go straight down the stairs to the kitchen or bathroom, and then straight down again to the other 3bedrooms in the basement (I never go down there, no reason to, Ive been maybe 5 times in the 2 months Ive lived here
or you turn left where there are 4 doors, 3 of them have keys in, I checked them and suprise! all 3 are bedrooms.
and then theres a 4th door,its raised a little off the ground but its locked and its locked with no key in the door unlike every other room in the house.
