Really broadly speaking, there are 2 types of depression, one that is psychological and one that is more physiological.
The former tends to be more influenced by day to day and life events, and is usually well treated with talking therapy. Medications are pretty useless. This is the type that people generally characterise as "fake" or "teenagery". It's important to remember that no matter how faggotty and narcissistic this type of depression is it's still very real
The other kind is more physiological, has more of the physical symptoms like insomnia/hypersomnia, weight loss, anorexia etc. It tends to respond much better to medication
So next time some little bitch complains that antidepressants don't work just remind them that they're a little fag with a personality disorder!
