Correct. However, the person in question placed no where near any form of Communism, whether it be authoritarian or libertarian. He's barely left of center, while remaining slightly traditional (authoritarian on compass).
He's actually falls under Social Democracy, even though he is still authoritarian on the scale, this would still be the most fitting category of political philosophy.

I get tired of doing these.
My ideal system.
Ideally, the state would be abolished, and the basic organizational structure would be a directly democratic commune. The workplaces in the commune, regardless if creative, manufacturing, or service, would all be run as cooperatives. People would decided to do what ever they feel they are best suited in. Some may like being a cab driver, so they do that. Others may like cooking, so they work in a restaurant. Etc.
Cooperation between communes could be facilitated by a inter-communal assembly. Trade, Mutual aid agreements, etc would be discussed here
Also, by this point, we should have such a surplus of production, that we could community store houses where one takes what they need. (Money may or may not exist in its current form by now)

Like if you are working at a school in what ever capacity, you can be moved to fill in for a vacancy on a short term basis. Also, Janitor would probably merge with general maintenance, which people actually like. Hands on repair of things around the work place. But they would also have to clean and keep it tidy)
>>711710169
You can call fallacies all you want, it doesn't refute the argument.
None such fundamental parts of our society would be possible without government and its programs. These are facts.
Try debating the facts and not the argument next time, it's why libertarians aren't taken seriously.
>>711710482
So, you would be combining a civil engineer with janitorial services?
Why not get machines to do that, what with the potential abundance, if not over-saturation, of engineers and programmers?
And I consider myself monarchist, I just don't care what people do as long at they pay taxes, and are loyal to authority
Far right danish fag here.
Guess that says more about my country than me
>>711710783
Well, true, it would be automated soon enough, but until then, their will be overlap.
But is maintenance really civil engineer in reality? Most of the places I've been in, Maintenance and Janitors were one in the same. One moment they could be cleaning up a students vomit, and the next, they could be installing a new window. Or repairing Automatic door motors.

As someone who wasn't a fan of trump, but sits slightly right, slightly down, this. Anyone with a brain, on both sides, is just pushing away from the Democrats and Republicans, which is why Trump won. I'm kind of glad it was Trump who won though, Bernie turned out to be a bit of a pussy. He's being pretty cool now though.

Liberty and Justice aren't possible when you have/give total freedoms. Robots can just reprogram themselves; humans cannot.
Total freedoms includes the freedom to deny Liberty and Justice. Dominating is human nature- being able to curtail that nature can't be done in 2 simple steps. To add, not everyone has the right mind to be "perfect people"... and so, if you make every man who is more equal than others, completely equal across the board, then you end up with a few people who will do more harm than good.
Besides, hegemonic systems don't have to be "evil" either- did you know you can have people who are willing to be governed in exchange for, say, community? For... order? Where in a system of self-governance, without true vigilance, no one will ever avoid crime or drudgery?
There is no one way to run (insert system here). But not every system is immediately compatible with reality.
Baby steps are required when it comes to modifying our nature- which is why we shouldn't ever be allowed to have total freedoms all the time, ever.

Yes you are right mankind is dominant in nature.
We are also mortal. It's a common misconception that you have any "right to live". If man was completly free then yes, you might get mudered for no reason. However, it's completly unnatural to come up with an agreement we should not.
Society is driven by the collective mindset, which is formed by participation and observation of the community. Murdering your neighbour doesn't give you a nice social status, so it is not in your advantage. Comitting murder would most likely result in banishment. See what im getting at.
A free society will come up with their own morality based upon experience and handle accordingly in the most natural way witouth any recorded obstructions.

Kinda what Trump is saying for business and how its leaving the US for other countries
Pro choice, but women should not be able to just walk in and get an abortion
For legalizing marijuana
I think we need a good amount of reform in our education
We need to invest a lot more in cleaner energies, punish those corporations (To the extent it hurts) greatly that neglect our environment, maybe even a carbon tax but I need to look into that more
Help breakup monopolies and tax the large corporations more
Pro gay marriage I dont give a shit who you marry as long as if they're of age obviously
Religion should be taught outside of schools (unless its private I dont care then), focus more on evolutionary science
Need to remove those on welfare that do not need to be
Deport all those that are here illegally and taking advantage of our country
Government is taking advantage of new technology and spying on us which should be reduced but not by a lot
Spending way to much on the military in my opinion. We should reduce and use that money to rebuild infrastructure and create jobs to those that genuinely need them
More gun control (not like banning certain weapons) in terms of more regulation
Trump is limiting lobbying right? Because thats something that needed to be change years ago
Any more views you want to know, thats all I can think of right now.

>>711717482
>It's a common misconception that you have any "right to live"
So are morals and societal norms- there are no natural rights. Rights are arbitrary. The only thing that ensures rights, as far as the human scope goes, are other agents that are most likely also human. No one is truly obligated to run with an established society, but it's obvious (most of the time) as to what one can reap from working with society once inside the system.
If you say society is driven by the collective mindset, formed by participation and observation... where is the fallacy in law created by the same entity it is supposed to govern?
You just typed that murder is a social faux pas and will often get you banished or punished in some shape or form. That, on the whole, behavioral reinforcement will not encourage or reward someone who murders their neighbor. If a free society comes up with their own morality, they will have come up with something that does not exist in nature. Something effably unnatural in of itself.
It's all arbitrary if not relative, hence the notion that a free society will not encourage punishment or reward as greatly, due to the abundance of anomie. No one whole entity in a free society, except itself as all people who choose to act as part of the free society, will be driving that incentive to not murder. The only person to have to answer to, are your neighbors- to which you could murder.

The governments job is not to control the people, but to assist and foster their development ie. science grants, education, roads, not getting buttfucked by a neighboring nation, not getting taken advantage of by economic elite, etc.
Corporations on the other hand, because of the immense potential power they wield over average citizens, must be regulated to prevent them from things like raping the environment that rightly belongs to all citizens.

Just going to remind everyone that political compasses and ideologies are hard and fast rules, Zebras don't exist, that there can never exist exceptions to the rule, nor can there exist compromise, or loaded questions, or unique nuances.

>>711721675
I vaguely agree with the retard sentiment, but I'd much rather invoke the notion that a lot of people are so vehemently partisan, that they often cling to
>muh (color)
more than they cling to their own rationale.

In the face of increasing population and increasing prevalence and availability of automation, only two possible futures exist
1. Socialism, or at least a guaranteed basic income with the ability to work in one of the few impossible to automate jobs for extensive luxury spending
2. A wildly stratified caste society with your rich inventors and scientists/engineers owning the new automated factories and designing the things they make, and your poor classes for whom work simply no longer exists.

China must also be doing something right, huh?! Just look at that massive growth a generation after The Great Leap Forward. Totalitarian communism is totally legit, son.
>>711724171

>>711725271
I wonder if he'll run then. Who knows how different the country will look by then though. His views may change a little too but that can be expected of everyone or most

I think he'll keep his libertarian views, their family is afterall quite libertarian. I think he'll give it another go some time. It took Reagan 3 trys to become president, it'll probably be hard for him aswell, but he's still "young".
>>711726697
I don't understand how anyone doesn't understand how anyone could fall on a side of the graph.
>>711724731
Oh yes, Ron Paul the fake libertarian, who railed against government spending, than added tons of pork barrel to bills he knew would pass at the last second before voting against it. Greatest con artist to ever join the senate.
>>711726697
In the same way, how can anyone fall on the economic-authoritarian left side.
>>711727552
Easy, by not wanting to replace powerful government with powerful corporations.

Fascists are always dangerous. Their ideology must be fought in the streets, in the media, everywhere.

Also part of the reason we see little wrong, is that the media is so focused on preserving the status quo by portraying all protestors as the same violent types. While in reality it was only in a few cities.
>>711734098
95% aren't even Hillary supporters. Most are Bernie Types, Socialists, or Anarchists.
