This is kind of a redundant thread. A band that sounds the same on a surface level will have a lot of distinct songs, parts within songs etc. that a person who has listened to them several times over will know.
Also, bands typically write in a similar style or genre (at least within one album) so if you just skim-listen, of course you're going to get a fairly same-y experience. This entire thread is either trolling or can't in2music.

I think perhaps the only exception to that is Undertow, which is still an amazing album, but the individual songs are a lot more digestible. 4 Degrees, Intolerance and Prison Sex are definitely up there as some of the best rock/prog songs of that era.
