Council tax is under a grand a year (as opposed to the grand a month rental cited earlier). Water is a few hundred a year. There's also utilities, but I'd pay them wherever I am. In all, keeping me in power, nets, water, gas, and up to code costs a bit less than £500/month.

So, your initial wage drops the principal down significantly. As you spend your outstanding approaches the amount that would be expected to be owing on a traditional mortgage. You pay a slightly higher rate, typically.

UPS pays for your CDL or at least they used to but you need seniority. If you are in a small town like in the Dakotas you can start with enough seniority the day you are hired. In a major city you may have to sling box for 10 years first.

To answer the question, it really depends where you live. I'm out in the country and while entry level manual labor jobs would pay about 10$ an hour, you can buy a decent house for under 50 grand, land is 1000$ an acre, T-Bone steak is 5$ a pound, and you can go out for dinner for under 15$.
Move to a city or more upscale area and wages are more, but cost of living is more and home ownership is insanely expensive. That said, upper class areas pay well for services. About 15 years ago I was living near an upscale coastal/artsy/faggoty area. Bought a shitbox minivan, a couple ladders, buckets, and squeegees and was cleaning rich peoples windows for 25-50$ an hour (depending on the job). Trophy wives don't wash their own windows and it's kind of shit work so they'll pay 25$ a window (and that was 15 years ago) if you do a nice job, are polite and clean cut, and punctual. Word of mouth-referrals will keep you busy.
There's literally a million other things people do and make a fair living.

currently getting like 3k a week however is only "my cut", i do have a college degree but i don't really "need it" in my line of work, i have a team composed of a few profesionals though, my degree is law, i set up things and do client work and talk, my brother works in telecomunications, the rest of my team do vigilance or are connected to diferent skill sets needed, some are ocasionals some are constant.
