So Hillary supporters, give me a legitimate reason you don't want Trump to be president. Something other than he hurt your feelings. You butt hurt retards
>>
>>711476850

I don't concur with the conservative philosophy. It's just as simple as that. I don't think he's a bigot, but I disagree with Trump on a fundamental level. No ore venom than that.

>stop liking things I don't like
>>
>>711477090
Explain then. What do you disagree with and why?
>>
>>711477166

Do I really need to break down tenants of the GOP and DMC for you? The things I dislike about Trump cannot be backed up by anything but personal convictions. I just disagree with right-wing politics. Jesus you're sounding like a liberal pecking at me like a woman because I don't concur with you.
>>
>>711477451
Not OP but im interested in knowing why as well. What is it about right-wing politics you disagree with?

I'm white and he hasn't offended me but he's still a terrible person. And at no point in this election did he give any details on how he will make America Great. Plus, he made shit up, changed his position and generally looked clueless.

Clinton was a bad choice too.

How about the fact that he was born on third base, and still managed to escape financial ruin at almost everything he's attempted in his career.

How the fuck do you *bankrupt* a fucking casino!!?? He's phenomenally stupid and lazy.
>>
>>711477885

I should say at this point that I have equal disdain for Hillary.

It's hard to talk about why I'm left leaning (on a very fundamental level) without you interpreting it as me as being self righteous or condescending, so it's an uphill battle, especially here on 4chan.

I respect conservatism, and I know that they're fighting the good fight, but I disagree with the GOP in ways that would require me to write a book to describe it as well as delve deeply into philosophy... so it's kind of a huge workload if you're asking me to legitimatize myself..

He said he would abolish the EPA and allow unrestricted air/water pollution. Also banning muslims and reducing the corporate tax rat, both terrible unnecessary ideas

So being anti-republican you're all for a government that governs and dictates at a state level, while completely disregarding the constitution which you believe to be a living document subject to change at the government's will according to over embellished news reports by bias media sources which ironically are also dictated by the very government they are supposed to report on?

Theres nothing good about him or any republican even though I agree with some of their end game policies.

ex) immigration- immigrants are a threat to the nation bc they bring over a culture that wars with ours and they get on welfare. not bc of trumps racist shit. not bc of the gops religious bullshit. not bc mexicans are dangerous.

but the repubs and Trump do not want to keep immigrants out. they cant. immigrants do cheap labor. the owners cant afford to lose them. the right will never kick them out or keep them out in a meaningful way. obama is the biggest deporter in history.

Trump is the most anti american person in america. evades taxes, brags about hosting gadaffi at an upcharge, his reaction to 9/11 was to brag about trump tower being the tallest building in new york, he bragged about stiffibg american workers (not the illegal ones he gets cheap labor from). moved his factories overseas

many of you dont know trump but ive followed him since the 90s. he is a con artist at heart.

his promises were ludicrous and not realistic. ie wall and bring back factories. he didnt have a real plan (no candidate did). he played the typical political game of lies and saying whatever gets voted.

and what makes him worse than most repubs is that hes putting the extremists into power. pence carson palin gingrich christie. hes setting back america 70 years on social issues and bringing back religion.

no i am not a liberal.

One of his campaign promises was to renegotiate the national debt. Aka default. Aka bankruptcy. Essentially selling our country's triple-A credit rating that we've maintained since WW2 for a few positive news articles.

Other promises: pulling out of NATO, letting Russia march into Crimea. Remember when the Russians accidentally shot down that airliner? It's gonna be some good times in Eastern Europe.

Providing nukes to non-nuclear countries. How do you think China's going to react when South Korea and North Korea have nukes pointed at each other? Nothing like another cold war, right?

Banning Muslim immigration. This is just stupid. I wonder if he's going to sell Trump-brand magic dousing rods to figure out who's too Muslim to let in.

Basically every one of his ideas are stupid as shit, impossible to implement, and wouldn't even fix whatever made up problem he thinks there is in the first place.

I find it amazing that it's almost natural to discuss a Trump assassination.

There was actually a whole show devoted to presidential assassinations on the radio yesterday and every caller had the default setting that an assassination attempt on Trump was not only likely but that it was also, somehow, morally justified.

Exactly. Many of the people upset with Trump as president would not have been happy with Clinton either. But just because Clinton is a bad choice does not mean that Trump is a good one. Trump's incendiary rhetoric aside, he still did not demonstrate that he had the qualities to be a good, or even decent, president.

Erm, alright then. Here we go:

He has no interest in being a president. He plans on letting long termestablishment GOP's and corporate interests dictate US policy for the next 4 years, all of which will only benefit the top 1% earners. In fact, his and Paul Ryan's proposed tax reforms will only benefit the top 1% earners. It is the old regain idea of trickle down economics and it didn't work then and it won't work now.

I do not think the man is a racist; that is literally just a media buzzword the left tried to stick onto him as if it mattered. Trump is an elitist. If you do not earn above a million dollars/year you do not matter to him. He has made it abundantly clear over the last few decades that he is only interested in furthering his own wealth and promoting his own brand. I do not buy into him as an every man blue collar worker's champion, just because his rhetoric ticks all the correct boxes.

He never had many clear policies and the ones he advocated the strongest he has already started to back away from and he is not even elected yet. In 3 months time he will have scrapped literally every one of his strong powerful tub-thumping slogans and begun dismantle trade regultions and slashing heatlhcare spending to reinforce his "less tax for millionaires" reforms.

I suppose above all I think he will have a very negative effect on international politics. I work a lot in South Korea and they are worried now because Trump promised to dismantle the army bases we have over there, leavign them vulnerable to a north korean expansion. And considering how much Trump loves china I sincerely doubt that Trump would want to intervene should it come to an armed conflict over there. Furthermore Trumps image abroad is that of a brash reality tv star and an orange buffoon and so America will lose international prestige. Which of course noone in America cares about (we are number 1 so the rest of the world can suck it) but it has long term intenrational ramifications
>>
>>711476850

he plans to repeal eviermental protection restrictions on natural gas. and also want a law that states "for every new regulation, two wil lbe repealed". thats just stupid.

I actually agree with many of his ideas, such as maximum terms for senators.

other than that... hes kinda a fool. but hillary is just as bad. this election was embarassing. i abstained from voting presidential, only participated in state and local voting.

I am applying for jobs in the environmental consulting field and I fear that Trump will allow them to repeal the EPA and associated laws with it CIRCLA, RCRA, etc. TL:DR he has sided with a party that has in many sates gutted environmental regulations which is sad because Nixon signed the EPA into law and it wasn't a bipartison issue. Environment affects us all, and I think everyone can agree on saving healthcare money by not having so many preventable diseases.

It's not Trump. It's his supporters. I don't believe Trump can do quite a bit of what he wants to do. The problem is he was elected by Southerns and Christians. They believe he is the choice God sent to us. The rich , Christian man who will keep the needy and poor out of America and will grab women by the pussy. He is happy to trash the planet so "you" can pollute, make money easier. He and his VP will gladly ignore the violence towards minorities and LGBT so can freely attack them on behalf of God. You know, all things Christ would spit at.

This is what he wants. This want Trump supporters want. Conservatives feel powerful after they ousted Obama. The KKK supports this man. So now they feel comfortable saying "keep out the fucking Muslims" or attacking homos. Why? Because their leader won't tell them not to. Even his SUPPORTERS feel like he is a racist, so they follow suit - because he is the President God gave us. Despite that he is stopping Christian refugees (or any) from the Middle East from entering America and finding religious freedom, to name only a fee issues.

I'm against illegal immigration, I didn't vote Hillary and I do think his financial plans make sense and could improve the economy. But it comes with a price tag of the past 30 years of social progression, the environment and giving TRULY racist and homophobic people the feeling of empowerment. It's fucking scary.

and thats supposed to make me feel better how? that hes a pathological conman is supposed to make me feel what exactly?

hes not clever. anyone can spout trump rhetoric. hes a typical politician saying whatever shit would get him elected. and youre saying thats a good thing?

if you think he hasmd anything to do with his bankruptcies youre retarded. he hires people to do that stuff. all the top owners do. same for his divorces he also weaseled out of.

i really dont give a fuck what he scored on an iq test. i want a leader with integrity not another liar and conman.

No it's not.

The Blue states are smarter than the Red states. Fucking fact at that.

Liberals are easier to trigger though.

He's unfit in almost every way. He's unhinged, and unpredictable, which shouldn't be a presidential trait. Another reason would be the Supreme Court, he gets to appoint judges that could overturn Roe vs Wade and no more gay marriage either. Next would be him severing the Paris agreement, which will cancel any progress we're making towards combating climate change, which he believes is a hoax. Obamacare and healthcare was another issue but I guess he flip flopped on that one too and threw his supporters under the bus, but whatever. Next would be him wanting to keep relations with people like Putin and Xi, which no longer puts us at the forefront for human rights, and also lets Putin do whatever he wants in Eastern Europe unquestioned. He claims to be anti establishment yet is picking all neocon establishment goons for his cabinet. His tax policy would be, as Hillary already called it, trickle down economics on steroids, I don't think I should explain why it's a bad thing because hopefully after falling for that meme countless times by Republicans you hopefully realize how completely autistic it is. There's multiple other reasons as well but that's all I can come up with right now at the top of my head

Mike Pence is literally a psychotic sadist. He believes God wants 90+% of the world to suffer and that only through their suffering may they be saved. He ruined my home state of Indiana and in so many ways admitted to it and implied that we deserved it.

Even if Trump doesn't die or get impeached, he's going to have some power as VP and he's going to fuck the country up so badly and he'll be proud of it. I think Trump is going to stick mostly to just being the attention whore that he is and focusing on a few of his major campaign issues, while Pence will be the man pulling the levers.

Terrifying.
>>
>>711478421

>>
>>711479715
Neither did Obama. He had all of 3 months of actual political experience, the entirety of his political career were consumed with constant campaigning to get elected into higher positions.

He did better than I expected but the country is more divided than ever before because of his policies and his actions.
>>
>>711476850
He didn't win the election.
>>
>>711476850
>Climate Change
He denies it entirely and will set us back decades in terms of combatting it. Now we have to trust China to lead the way on emissions reductions which I'm not so sure will work out.
>Health Care
Will repeal ACA. We need a single payer system but ACA was at least a step in the right direction.
>SCOTUS
Plans to nominate ultra conservative justices, which will lead to regressive abortion laws, big money remaining in politics, etc.
>Economic policy
Large Tariffs. Are you fucking kidding me? Every established economist thinks this is a bad idea. Also he will add to the national debt more than clinton would have, look it up.

Even if you think that his immigration is solid (which I don't), and like his pro-russia stance, and think we should institute muslim ban, there are many many weak points to Trump. There's a reason he lost the vote among educated people by the margin he did.

Open borders and soft immigration laws open us up to the type of folks that like to run people over with a truck or shoot up a gay nightclub based strictly off of their religion, the wall and more stringent immigration policies would trickle down and benefit people who already struggle to bring food on the table because Juan does the same job he does only for 3$ dollars more an hour less, but at least this way, anyone who is not a legalized immigrant won't take the job from the backbone of this country that and anyone making 40,000$ or less a year won't pay taxes which strengthens that backbone far more than you realize and destroying our 2nd amendment is just as asinine as limiting the 1st which under Hillary was to become a reality

The Red states don't have practical smarts either. As a lot of them are the "poor" states. And they keep voting for people who want to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. They vote against their own best interests, that's not practical.

I'm not saying Hillary wouldn't do the same thing, but the blue states tend to be the richer states. So they're not exactly voting against their best interests.

however, blue states are statistically more likely to produce scientists, engineers, and the people who will build this country into what it could be. i have the utmost respect for the American working class; their efforts are invaluable. however, they are unable to make decisions that benefits America in the long-term; the youth of america are going into tech fields, something that the blue states have readily accepted and are preparing for.

That still doesn't solve the issue that he's very likely going to be impeached within his first year in office. The GOP loves Pence, they hate Trump. It was no doubt a strategy on Trump's part to select Pence as his VP in the first place, and even after he's impeached, this would had only been profitable for Donnie one way or another.

Hell, I'd go as far as to begin wondering if this was all just a conspiracy to get Pence the presidency in the first place and when he does you can bet that Donnie's gonna get some major kickbacks.

Honestly, this. I'm not one of those people who think Trump is going to send us to the dark ages, and I even looked into some of his policies and could see where he was coming from. But seeing the people that support him is what drove me away. Everyone who disagrees with you is an idiot, anyone who provides a legitimate argument is a shill, most of you are hypocritical (taking quotes others said 8+ years ago and using them in your argument while simultaneously saying things Trump said 3 or 4 years ago don't matter), and now that you've won the election you just can't restrain yourselves from rubbing it in everyone's faces. Hillary has won the popular vote.

There are 3 states now being called into question, which are all big states for Trump. Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. There were a lot of uncounted absentee ballots which turned up in large numbers in all 3 of these states, most of which are for Hillary Clinton, making her the projected winner in all 3 states. Should this turn out to be the finding, Hillary have met the needed 270 electoral votes, thus making her the president elect.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. He won and will be our president.

I didn't like his original tax plan because it called for about a 10 trillion deficit with no announced cuts. Either he was hiding what he was going to cut (I'd prefer transparency) or he was going to plunge the nation into debt for short term gains hoping that increased economic output would stave off some of the burden (it wouldn't).

His new tax plan was marginally better, but then it raises a whole new question about what he's actually going to do in office. He would tell five different things to five different people at any given time. No one has a firm grasp on what he's actually going to do now.

Republicans never deport illegals. Reagan gave them all amnesty. Obama is the biggest deporter of all time.

Repubs and Trump WANT the immigrants bc they come over and owners use them for cheap labor.

Trump is also not building a wall. He might get a fence which is also retarded. Most immigrants come over legally, they walk right through the boarder, and stay too long. A wall or fence doesnt stop that.

The workers ALWAYS get hit the hardest during tax cuts. Trickle down always fucks the workers and benefits the top owners.

You want less people on welfare? Trump and pence want more. bc they dont pay for it. taking away abortions and birth control increases poor births. Welfare from taxes INCREASES with more poor.

We don't know what's on his mind or what he intends do, if he can, and assuming so is intellectually dishonest.

The man has everything one could want realistically and that position is clearly a stressful one as we can see with every person who filled those shoes. The question is, why would he want to be POTUS when it really doesn't offer much in the way of freedom? It certainly comes with the weight of the world on your shoulders, at least at face value. It's not a position of power as some imagine it, it's more of shackled nightmare and you become the face everyone wants to punch if things go south, as it were. Or just the face people want to punch because X.

So why would he, or anyone, take that position? That's the question.

I wouldn't want it.

i'm sorry that this is your image of us.

>realistic understanding of quality of life

i went into my field so that i could secure a future for my family. nothing fancy, just something stable that kept them taken care of and happy.

>apartments and grocery stores

i'm a homeowner, so i can't relate. i do use groceries though, and i don't know why this is an issue. i should note that i know how to hunt and fish, and when i was growing up i tended a livestock farm.

>they use people like dirty towels

i don't understand this completely, but i will say that everyone in their life has relied on somebody else for something before. how they treated them is different, but america is a community.

>sense of life

i feel that there is no one 'sense of life'. life is multi-faceted, everything we experience as human beings contributes to the 'sense of life'.

>leftist

trust me, i hate those whiny faggots as much as any trump supporter. the difference is, i know they will fail on their own, so i vote my interests at heart rather to spite them.

you're using a lot of soundbites that don't personally effect me.

things like obamacare which requires people to buy the same overpriced, underwhelming coverage we had before or be forced to pay a fine at tax time to the tune of hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars at tax time are imo a step in the wrong direction.

home ownership has dropped.
food stamp participation has increased.
illegal immigration has increased.
and it's all tied to a debt that has doubled in the last eight years.

just buying off problems doesn't fix them. it's like a patch job on the roof before the rainy season.

based on what we've seen of trump, the way he conducts himself and the priorities he's placed, he likely views the presidency as the ultimate opportunity to push legislation in favor of his kind, which is unfortunately not the working class, but big business.

i would be more open to his candidacy if i knew what he planned on doing for the working class, but so far all i've heard is rhetoric and unsubstantiated promises.

i guess the tl;dr is, i genuinely have not heard feasible policies out of him.

The people who were voting out of fear really are the people who voted for Clinton. They REALLY believe that Trump is going to round up all of the minorities and disabled and throw them in concentration camps.

The people who voted with a level head saw past all of the edited sound bites and propaganda and realized that Trump actually had good policies that would help the country.

>i.e. taxing imports on American businesses who decided to move elsewhere
>i.e. defunding sanctuary cities(a little background, sanctuary cities have needed increased funding for law enforcement. Meanwhile, they can't even track most criminals because a disproportionate number of them have no documentation).
>i.e. minimizing taxes on the middle class
>i.e. reducing restrictions on people who want to start businesses
>i.e. redirecting our efforts from being involved in foreign civil wars towards increasing our economic strength and working on our national debt problem
the list goes on.

People who voted for Clinton: "Guys, we can't have Trump in the white house, he'll blow the world up with nuclear weapons and kill all brown people!!!"

I agree with most of those points except this one. The american people have grown comfortable spending all their time in ideological echo chambers. That isn't Trump's fault, he's a victim as much as anyone else. It's easy for Trump-supporters to call for peace and level-headedness when their candidate won, but just a day before Trump was preparing to sue to prevent a Clinton presidency.

I don't like the way his sneering ignorant attitudes now represent my country on a global stage. But that's just because I hold a completely different set of sneering ignorant attitudes myself.

i see your points, but those business benefits would be extended to established, american, multi-billion dollar corporations. to say that business law should be the same for Ford as well as a mom and pop store is unreasonable.

additionally, its not just the middle class that would have tax breaks, but the upper-middle and upper class citizens. trump mobilized the poorer americans to prevent their already scant incomes from decreasing, but the law would ultimately serve to protect the outrageous fortunes that 1% enjoy.

They don't vote for all people voting for Clinton. They are not the entirety of all people who voted Clinton.

They are an individual who voted for Clinton. That you're asking the individual to stop the majority of people, that are beyond their control, from voting or behaving a certain way- or even implying that the individual is somehow responsible for the inclinations and actions of countless individuals across the nation who they have never even met in person, is asinine.

They voted a certain way. They have reasons for believing why they voted a certain way. Neither of you seem like you're open to eachothers' rationale.

Here's the rule taken straight from Healthcare.gov:
For 2016, the fee is $695 or 2.5% of your income — whichever is higher.

It could easily be thousands.

And I don't see how it's been more beneficial than what we had before. What has it done for you?

Maybe I'm naive, but the premium for bronze plan with a $1000 deductible is over $130 more a month than the comprehensive health/dental/vision/prescription PPO plan I have through work. All with a deductible that's ten times less.

And I agree that the housing crisis was a larger economic problem, but the same could be said for a lot of things that get blamed on presidents. They're the head coach of this team and they have to shoulder the blame for anything that happens, good and bad. It's part of what comes with the title of "leader."

I'm worried that he doesn't believe in climate change, and won't invest enough in clean energy, quickly falling way behind in development in this area compared to other countries. Coal and natural gas are not the correct path to energy independence in my opinion.
I disagree with his tax plan - I don't think cutting taxes and government programs at this time will be beneficial when we need to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and work on building a stronger education system.
I worry about the level of financial deregulation that will likely take place, unleashing banks and hedge funds into high risk ventures, and we'll end up in a similar situation to the housing crisis that led to the 2008 recession.
Interested to hear how a trump supporter feels about these questions.

I agree the MSM is dying an ugly death, they didn't even try to hide it this election.
