Thats exactly how it happened with me. I had to study these things then got soaked into the surprisingly impressive world building the fandom has around fluffies.
Didn't shock me this came off as a splinter fandom of MLP as I also studied that MLP fandom also. Unlike that though I came to enjoy fluffies. Reminds me of a mix of edgy furbys and retarded pikmin.

The mare is wild, and had almost no food so she could not feed her babies the milk they need. There are instruments throughout the United States were mares can... "Donate" their babies, or one of them, to receive Spaghetti as food. A full plate of hot Spaghetti.
Since these require ingredients, they occasionally break or run out.
In this case, the mare had eaten the food off panel and when she returned to her nest she discovered some "food" people had left out. She cries because of the irony.
Worse, now that she actually HAS the milk she needs, because she left her babies alone for so long and they had gone without food for so long, they straight up died.
That's some pretty mean Irony up there.
This stuff is just weird. I was revolted, then intrigued, then saw cute, then abuse and sadness. Just so much going on with all of this.
