It's any number of things, the staff at the park really doesn't know what their doing when it comes to the rides, even the on park engineers. When I first got there the power tower was broken down for 2 weeks because nobody knew how to fix it and the chief engineer was coming from California to look at it. If you lived more than 40 miles away from the park you were required to live in a dorm. They were shitty, old, falling apart buildings with massive bed bug problems. You would have 3 roommates and share a shitty 4ft by 15ft room with no air conditioning (atleast mine didn't) and 1 communal bathroom on every floor that nobody would take care of. let's say for sake of argument that one of the slavs quit because they couldn't handle the working conditions. The only way to get money for the plane ticket would be to get another job but without the cedar point housing they're rendered homeless, unless they spend the money they left on some sort of apartment or housing nearby, since they wouldn't have any type of vehicle or legal driving permit being in a completely different country. And since sandusky is a resort town it would be like 1000 dollars a month for a nearby apartment or 200 per night at a motel/hotel. If they find an opening at the local shopping complex it would mean they would need to be hired with no resume on hand, no vehicle to get to work, and the handicap of not having english as a first language. Now the chances of all that working out without them being evicted before getting a job or just straight up denied a job is very slim but I would consider it atleast plausible. But all of that would be one giant stress attack that would be avoided from just taking the punishment.
