Try working from references of real life heads and doing them as close as possible to the real thing instead of jumping straight into stylized stuff, you'll thank yourself in the long run.
Overall, the hair looks pretty good. I like the way you shaded it. The nose is just a line, which doesn't really work unless you're going for a character who actually just has a vertical slit in their face. The shading on the skin seems really uninformed; you should try thinking about how the object would look in 3D space, select a direction for the light source, and apply shade thusly.

Ye. Shading's never been a real strong suit of mine.
Mainly because I work on two different monitors and I can't sync their brightness and contrast.
And I sort've dislike how dark the hair is that supposed to be behind the ear (even though the character has no ears) I think I might lighten that up a bit, though still have it dark enough to contrast with the rest.
As for stylization, I've done stylized for about a year or two. Realism was never really something I could do besides landscapes.
