Canadians own the system. They have all the land and power. They are the business owners who decide who gets hired and whose resume they throw in the trash. 4. For about a century both American and Canadian children were taken from their homes, had their hair cut and were forbidden to speak in any language but english. Speaking a non-european language was punishable with physical abuse and there countless accounts of children being beat, raped and even killed. These children only got to see their parents a couple times a year.
