It was a nice summer day so I thought to myself, "Hey, why not just hang around downtown?" And that's what I did. I wasn't shopping or anything; just wandering around to kill time and enjoy the weather.
I was passing an alleyway between an Italian style bistro and a coffee shop when something bright pink caught my eye. Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to investigate. The pink thing turned out to be a dead feral fluffy mummeh. From the looks of things, the city exterminators had just left a partial jug of flufficide poison in the alley. I'm not sure what the liquid is but I do know that the taste and smell is attractive to fluffies which is why this particular mummeh would have drank from the puddle leaking from the overturned jug. It's a fairly quick poison which is why she dropped dead so close to the source.
One more thing about the scene caught my eye. This mummeh still had two live foals.

The little blue unicorn foal talked to her dead mother as if she were still alive and just tired or something while the purple Earthie foal hungrily suckled on one of the udders. I'd read that it's possible for foals to nurse on the remaining milk for up to an hour after death. A thought crossed my mind as I watched the two foals. I'd had a fluffy for a pet before. They weren't as bad as most people made them out to be if given the right training and reinforcement from a young age. The problem here is that the mare's milk would likely have traces of the poison in it already. Depending on how much the purple foal had drank, he was done. Now, the blue unicorn, on the other hand. She didn't look like she had any milk around her mouth at all. That one could still be viable.
