So the argument you make comes rests primarily on the assumption that races are all equal. I think it's fairly evident that they aren't without providing the data to back it up; blacks dominate NBA, running, etc. Whites dominate weightlifting, swimming, etc. Asians are easily the most intelligent as a gross number, Jews might edge them out by per capita though. But hey, have some (pic related) studies to back up what I'm saying anyway. Once you acknowledge that races are different, you can start to see where the other side is coming from. The white race has been to the moon and back, if you show that to little Tommy and encourage him to be proud of it, rather than saying "you didn't do that just stick to what you do", I think Tommy is going to enjoy life a bit more, and maybe even be encouraged to add to the accomplishments of his race. Darwin himself said that Africans would eventually be wiped out by natural selection, but hey, they're still here today so what does he know.
Secondly, your argument is an incredibly materialistic one. It might sound strange to say that, but that is what so much of the discourse is made up of today. If your argument isn't based purely on tangible benefits these days it's disregarded as spiritual bullshit. But, at least I think, humans need a sense of spirituality in them, or at least some sense of spirit. This is what I mean when I talk about the spiritualism of humans, confining ourselves to just what happens in our lifetime is honestly cruel, and just boring. There is no effort or skill in being a member of a given race, nor anything you receive by simple merit of being born. There is no effort or skill in being blood related to someone else.

The two are interchangeable, there's no loss of data there. This is a great change as it improves the writer's ability to be understood by the reader.
Your broadening of 'pride' to represent other emotions that already have their own words does not. Not the guy you're responding to but if you want to talk actual genetics, you are aware that trying to keep a certain populations' DNA from mutating or mixing with another popilations' DNA (which is exactly what happens when you try and keep certain physical traits) will far more often than not be bad for that specific population. Especially if the population in question dwindles below the cutoff point for a genetic bottleneck, the chances of the population's survival drop to near zero without finding another population to interbreed with. In humans that genetic bottleneck can occur if a population falls below about 10,000, although that number increases for every gene that you attempt to keep within your own population.
