I have two theories
1. the paraphilia is innate, and I would have developed it no matter what, since I've always been unnaturally attracted to the dead, even since I was a child and have never had a sexual attraction towards the living
2. I was conditioned to be attracted towards the deceased, given that my parents were both very violent, exposed me to death at a young age, abused me if I tried to form normal relationships and banned me from having boyfriends or girlfriends, so I consider corpses "safe"

hypothetically, if I was at the end of my rope with no hope of escaping, yes, I would keep a body in the sealed, windowless room in my basement. It's sound-proof and I could stave off the smell from my neighbors for days, at least, with the right equipment and preventive measures. The trouble is that decomposition is what really gets me off so I'd allow the body to rot and that would really, really fucking smell. The neighbors would eventually notice, the police would be called, it would be over.
The most comfortable place to keep them would be in a little wooden shack in the middle of the woods where no one, not even animals would find them. I'd have them all to myself until they liquidated.
