Psychological torture is the worst form. I'd spend three to four year building a room. A room that has a white roof, floor, and walls. I would have hundreds of tiny black dots painted along the walls, roof, and floor. These dots would exist for the purpose of causing eye strain and because as time in the room continues so will the amount of disturbing patterns that the subject can see within the dots. There would be no visible slot for putting food in the room, that would let the subject know that there is someone outside. There would be a couple dots that are actually holes that I would use to pump in knock out gas. Whilst they slept I'd come in through a door that would be discretely hidden. I would then proceed to clean up after them, and put white rice and a plastic cup of milk into a mini fridge that would be in the wall but visible so that they could access their daily minimum of food. As time goes on I'd begin the experiments. Such as how they react to certain agents being pumped into their chamber, or what years in seclusion do to the mind. Would they begin to worship the fridge because the food was in there and because it is the only thing in the room that isn't a wall? How long before they gave up hope? And can someone stay sane as I play noises just before they sleep and whenever they start to daydream. Such as the sound of a slight breeze, a drop of water, or infrasound at a level just below what is required to kill or permanently damage someone. Slowly I know I'd get bored with them. That is when I'd slowly fill the chamber with carbonated water. Why carbonated water? Well it would be cheap and it would give a slight burning or tingling sensation. As the chamber filled would they curse at the fridge? Would they remember how to speak? Or would they embrace death? As the water reaches the roof I'd begin draining it. Then the lights would turn off. And I'd play the sound of someone humming off in the distance. They would then be left to die in the chamber
