It was pretty late and I was on my way home from my shitty job as an usher at the multiplex theater downtown. I'd only walked a few blocks when I heard someone gun their engine followed by the familiar cries of pain from a fluffy being run over. Sure enough, at the next intersection, I saw a blue Earthie mummeh laying next to the curb with her ass end crushed. She was trying to crawl up onto the sidewalk but her life was fading pretty fast.
"Babbeh..." she groaned at nobody in particular. "...haf...wast...babbeh..." The feral mare then proceeded to expire. Just another nameless shitrat dead in the city. The fluffy crews would clean up her body in the morning.
The mention of a foal piqued my interest. If I could find it, I could have some fun.
Sure enough, as I rounded the corner, I could hear the telltale whining coming from the nearby alleyway. About halfway down, I found my prize.

I always enjoy psychological more.
Maybe something that leverages the dead mother... hm.
>>709698155
Maybe he could stuff the corpse of the dead mother and install a milk bottle so the baby think it's still alive, then go with another idea from there
>>709696840
One foal stood out in the open next to a heavily soiled cardboard box the mare had used for nesting in. I guessed it was slightly more than two weeks old since it's eyes were open, it could walk and it's speech was still interspersed with peeps and chirps. It was an Earthie colt with a coat of fluff that looked like a wad of old dirty bubblegum.
I crouched down and held out my hand. "Hey there little guy. Do you want to come home with me?" I asked in my friendliest voice.
The foal immediately shit himself, called me a "Munstah!!" and scrambled back into the safety of the nesting box. Easy mode would be to stomp on the box and walk away laughing. I could have also just reached in and pulled the little fucker out. Instead, I decided to do this the hard way.
>>709698382
How about he adds somthing to the milk that makes the baby really horny then tells the baby that he needs to give special huggies to the corpse else she will stop producing milkies?
>>709698397
Ohhh! Go on your fucking prodigy!
>>709698382
I meant the loss of a mother, not literaly the mother.
It's to messy for an unprepared private person to pick half a smashed corpse from the street. Even an abuser has to keep up an air of normality.
>>709698848
Still an interesting idea. Perhaps he could have been on his way to his car where he has some plastic bags.
>>709698397
"Oh! I'm sorry if I scared you!" I called out; again, trying my best to sound like a good person. "It's just that your mother sent me to get you and take you home with me."
The mention of his mother caused the foal to poke his head out. "Mummeh?" he inquired.
"Yes, your mother decided to abandon you because you're a bad babbeh." I lied. "She said that she's never coming back and that I could take care of you for all she cares."
In the dim light, I could see shiny tears welling up in the foal's eyes. "Mummeh nu wan babbeh nu mow?" He blubbered. The foal curled up and started sucking his hoof. Catching foals is easy because they're the right combination of dumb and gullible. With the foal too absorbed in his crying, I was able to scoop him up; being careful to avoid his shit soaked hindquarters.

I talked to my new ward during the ten block hike back to my house and did everything I could to reassure him that I was going to be a good new daddy for him and that I'd take good care of him from then on. I even named him Joe after Bazooka Joe bubblegum because it was the shittiest of the shit tier gums I could think of. Fuck it. He's just a feral shit rat anyway. Giving him a name was merely a step toward getting him to trust me more.
The first order of business upon arriving home was to give him a bath. No way I wanted feral fluffy shit all over anything. I ran some warm water into an empty one gallon ice cream pail and gave it a squirt of dish soap. Joe didn't like the whole experience very much but at least now he was clean. I dried him off with some paper towel and then finished the job with my hair dryler on the lowest setting. One thing to note for anyone actually considering owning a fluffy as a pet; NEVER use dish soap to wash your floof because it will completely strip away all of the natural oils in the fluff, leaving it dry and prone to split ends. In my case, who cares? I wasn't planning to keep Joe as a pet. In fact, I wasn't planning on keeping him for much longer than a week.
>>709700400
The only solution I see is she knocks over the pedestal holding the fish tank and saves the drowning baby. I'm not sure she can save the hanging baby.

The next order of business was to feed the little guy. His tummy had been rumbling something feirce and I suspected the little bit of shit he squirted out when we first met was the last he had in him. I sat Joe on the kitchen counter while I retrieved some coffee cream from the fridge. I didn't have an eye dropper or anything that could be used like a nipple so I improvised using a ziploc sandwich bag with a tiny pinhole in one corner. Indeed, Joe was pretty hungry because he managed to put down three tablespoons worth of cream. His little belly bulged as he rolled back contentedly.
Washed and fed, now I needed somewhere for Joe to sleep. I pulled a cardboard box from my recycling bin and repurposed it as a makeshift foal pen. I lined the bottom with newspaper and shredded up some paper towel for nest bedding. Joe seemed to be pretty happy with the arrangement. There wasn't much point in doing any more because I knew he wouldn't be litter trained and this would be easy to change every day once it started to stink.
I placed Joe's foal pen in the living room and set up a desk lamp for indirect light. I hoped that would be enough so he wouldn't throw a fit about being scared of the dark. With everything I could think of taken care of, I headed off to bed as well.

One week.
If you've ever wondered what the sound of someone throwing a wrench into your plans is like, for me, it came the next morning in the form of my girlfriend waking me up excitedly.
"Oh my God! You got a fluffy!" She squealed. "He's just so adorable!" My eyes opened on their rusty hinges. Fuck. I'd forgotten that we had plans today and I'd also forgotten that I'd given her a key to my house. Rolling out of bed, I wandered out into the living room. That's where I found Jenn sitting on the floor cuddling Joe up to her cheek. "I thought you didn't like fluffies." Jenn beamed. "What's his name? When did you get him?" She questioned.
"Uhh, his name's..." I quickly looked around for something maybe a little better than Joe. My eyes landed on the little case for my Raspberry Pi. "...Raspberry. Yeah, his name's Raspberry and I fou...err...rescued him last night. He's a feral and his mother abandoned him and I just couldn't leave him there to starve." I blurted out.
"Aww, that's so cute." Jenn smiled. "We should go shopping and get him a few things. He can't stay in this old box forever."
The suggestion of now having to spend money on a feral shit rat caused that little voice inside my head to mentally bitchslap me for ever giving Jenn a key. Then it bitchslapped me again for not stomping on that old nesting box last night when I had the chance.

>>709703780
Why doesn't it make sense? It just has another sub-genre.
In the image we basically see the payoff of some weirdbox. The mother has some loss issues and has clearly gone insane under the influence of a paranormal entity, or perhaps this is her deranged view of a human. She wanted to keep her last baby at all costs even its happyness. So the entity assisted in trapping the baby in this miserable existence and mokery at playing happy family forever. all for the benefit of the deranged mother.

My poor wallet.
Guys who are married or have a girlfriend have no doubt been out shopping together. She wants everything and the best of everything while the guy only wants what they need. This was the case when Jenn and I were shopping for fluffy supplies. She wanted the super deluxe foal pen with all of the accessories while I maintained that a cardboard box would do just fine since Raspberry would only be using it for another week at the most before I could transition him to a safe room. (A room, I might add, that I hadn't wanted or even decided upon. I guessed I would have to give up the second bedroom upstairs which I was using for storage and such.)
Speaking of a safe room, Jenn started talking about fluffy approved wallpaper and a posturpedic nesting box and a memory foam pillow for Raspberry to lie on while watching his FluffTV that I was going to buy him. We haven't even discussed the toys or other "essentials" he'd need yet.
To my credit, I did manage to curb a lot of the spending. We ended up leaving with a basic play set consisting of a ball and three wooden blocks, a basic nesting box and a terry cloth blanket (Douglas Adams did say to never be without one's towel!), a food dish and a water bottle and the all important litter box with a starter bag of sand and a scoop.

Why, sir - saying these words to me... is that an offer, perchance?
Nevertheless, I'm working on a request from Fluffygod right now, and then I've been thinking about drawing Olive from several stories by CalifornianCuller. Her insanity strikes a chord with me. (You can always PM me if you want anything done, though.)
>>709693613
I'm not following that logic.
Do they just not take foals?
If the mare's color is good, why is the clean white and bright pink foal not even better?
>>709712009
Possible explanation is their employer/customer only takes mares and them taking foals would be a privat thing which is not tolerated during working hours. They are supposed to do their job not chase foals and work into their own pocket on the clock.
Or the marked for white foals simply crashed. White shows dirt quickly.
>>709693302
>>709712497
I can't imagine they'd only take mares for anything other than milkbags then. And if they're collecting milkbags, why not grab the good foals?
>>709711740
Totally. Theres is so many places to go with this comic. Even if it ends shitty at least id have closure.
>>709712497
Yippy back again. Mah boyz ain't here yet.
Sam is showing Mark, the new guy, how to make a little extra on the side since fluffy exterminating doesn't pay for shit. Mark just wants to stomp and kill them so he's a little too excited. The customer is a character of mine who runs several fluffy related businesses; one of which is a shithole where actual pet stores and fluffy mills can dump their unpopular colors and then they get sold at a discount to cheap fucks.
>>709711853
m-Maybe. We could go mountain climbing and consume the flesh of other hikers together~
I could be the failed fluff writer to your unnaturally talented artist.
Still, I like that you are considering doing something involving Olive. I quite enjoyed that story series. Going to stop before I drop any more of my sketties in thread now.
>>709713077
Don't make me get out the sorry stick!
>>709713158
Because, foals are dirt cheap. They are worth nothing, a good mare with a good foal shows that she's a good breeder. A foal has no guarantee of being a good breeder, on top of requiring time and effort to raise it to be one. so it's better to grab the good breeding mares cause they're ready to go, while the foals cant be sold and require time and effort for no guaranteed profit.
>>709713294
don't be a faggot.
This isn't an rp thread.
>>709713158
because they are feral and extra cost to go through a checkup. Maybe there are no foal facilities.
>>709711853
enf, much sketty
>>709713213
Okay. I'm also a pretty good cook; I like to work with meat - just thought I'd mention this.
Had a great time talking to you.
>>709713498
Yeah, but if she's for breeding then in the end you're getting more foals. You're explicitly doing it for foals. Foals can't be dirt cheap, worth nothing, and not worth the time and effort for them to grow if you're just gonna breed the mare for foals to do exactly that. Else, what's the point?
>>709713645
Being feral seems the closest to a real logical reason, but even then, if the mare is feral and evidently will require the extra cost of a check up to be of any good use, an obviously good colored foal could be very well worth the cost. It would sell like a hotcake with the other good colored ones, so long as it can not seem like a little shit for the two minutes it needs to be noticed and grabbed up.
>>709713498
>>709714208
The guy who wrote the story is right here you know...
>>709714350
Well tell us the logic then, brah. What's the point?
>>709699294
Fwuffy wuv beaw-twap!
>>709714208
Mare=ready to breed
Foal=!= equal ready to breed.
Time is money and that time is better spent with mares that can already breed.
>>709714607
See
>>709713180
Samir's Discount Fluffy Supercenter is one of those shady as fuck places that existed back when fluffies were still fairly popular and expensive. A place where you can buy an off color at a good discount and nobody ever questions where the stock comes from. Most foals sold there are, of course, the orphans and leftovers from pet stores or fluffy mills. Samir isn't above buying ferals and Sam knows they could make enough to be worthwhile since instead of killing them, they're at least making some profit.
They do keep milkbags to be caregivers but even if Mark hadn't stomped the foal, it's pretty unlikely that it would have been allowed to stay with its actual mother.
>>709713834
So you are prime Czech wife material? I'll have to go and meet you on the Polish side.
But yes, it is always pleasant to chat with you on here Dust.
>>709713077
Fair enough you got me
>>709715105
Yeah, but why breed if you're then gonna get foals from it? You're obviously gonna sell the foals then since they'd need time to grow to then be used for breeding. Else why breed in the first place?
>>709715309
It doesn't really matter if it stays with its mother. Like you even said, they're worth something, so killing a good foal is just a waste of a potential product.
what if some mad scientist from australia decided to add some local animal DNA into fluffies? Could we get koala fluffies that need to eat their mothers poop before eating solid food? How about sea fluffies mixed with platypus so the males have a venomous spur and the females lay eggs? Maybe kangaroo fluffies that have babbehs in their pouches?

Hmm. A change in styles, even slightly might take away the Weird Tales vibe I get from your work. I mean I would not say to not try it - you are the artist here, but in my completely untrained opinion you have a rather brilliant style going for yourself, a niche in the fluffy artist ranks.

>>709720371
Yes, I'm not going to change my style, as I'm unable to. Whenever I think about doing something more abuse-y, it just seems like it won't be me anymore. Pic related is about as far as I can go. I can draw the results, but not the actual abuse itself. I guess I see to many parallels between fluffies and actual animals. (=I'm a pussy)
Also, about meds - those confuse me. Last year I got prescribed bisulepine by my GP for some allergic rash I had. It knocked me out like you wouldn't believe.
>>709721288
No problem.
>>709721965

>>709721323
I can respect that a lot. Have to hold on to your beliefs and set lines in the sand on what you are comfortable making. That picture still manages to spook me, even when I see the thumbnail, so you did something pretty great with that. (Being a pussy is not exactly a bad thing.)
Medicines are a mixed bag of chemicals and chaos. I've been on one or another or multiples since I can remember. I've grown to respect my sedative because it helps with my panic attacks while also letting me sleep with some peace. Sometimes an escape from the world is badly needed, and a drug that causes sleep can be just the key to such a trip.
>>709715115
>>709722666
>>709722507
I only take painkillers for the occasional headache and mild over-the-counter sedatives for when some part of my three-shifts occupation doesn't agree with my overall night owl sleep cycle. When it comes to escapism, story-writing is the best way to do that. I'm a major writefag, though I don't let that bleed into my fluffy interests very often. Writing novels is the absolute best. You let yourself be swallowed by the POW character, the world, everything, especially if you combine it with appropriate music. Every work of mine has its own playlist, even the shortest of stories.
And about pictures - I prefer to leave a lot to viewers' imagination. In this regard, I like compare my works to Edith Wharton's short stories, as arrogant as that might sound. You try to come up with an explanation, with a solution, and whether it's right or wrong, it still is something at least.
>>709724061
I can understand that, a bit jealous that you seem to be able to flourish without a regimen of medicines. Yeah, the escapism and raw beauty in crafting worlds, the thrill of making something that is yours and yours alone is why I turned to writing. Sadly I washed out and have spent the last decade wondering what all went wrong. But that is enough about my misadventures. I agree wholeheartedly about music as well, writing and music flow like two parts of a whole, entwining and embracing thoughts in a mesmerizing mental dance.
Hardly arrogant, you have the skill and you are allowed the comparison. Better to have pride and enough satisfaction in your writing that you feel you can compare your works to others, than to be afraid to even consider doing so.
>>709724327

I guess that's what it all comes down to. Personal input and personal - everything, really. I know that if I changed styles and took the hardcore abuse way or made the fluffies look as pitiful as possible, my works would probably get favourited and commented on much more than they are. (I know I might sound like a comment whore, but I believe input and public response are crucial to one's motivation) But then the connection and meaning would be lost and... it's really hard to explain these things. Anyway, whenever my works make someone feel anything at all, be it happiness or fear or confusion, I feel like I did my "job" correctly.
And you, you shouldn't be content with labelling yourself as a "washed-out" writer. Write. Do it every day. It doesn't matter if anyone reads it or not. The sole act of writing, of creating, is what is important. Every word is a stepping stone. You better yourself with every work, just like I do. Pic related is my first fluffy pic ever, and I don't like to post that very much.
time for sadbox!

I think you're mistaken. That's not sadbox, it's fagbox and comes with a free trip to the OBGYN
