As much as I hate Mei with a passion, she's really fun to play. People that play as Mei a lot and are really good with her are annoying as hell. That's why I hate her so much. She's pretty damn good on some maps, specifically the ones with a chokepoint that can be easily walled off.

Also, as a side note. It's just not fun to fight against. Being in the middle of a fight, feeling the slow/freeze hot you then having to watch as she lines up a headshot for 3 seconds is annoying as fuck.

Really the only way I found to counter Mei is to focus fire on her. Not the entire team, but just one or two team mates. She's just that much of a priority target. She's like...right next to an enemy Mercy I think when it comes to target priority. I usually go out of my way to kill a damn Mei when I see her depending on whoever I'm playing as. You can't really 1v1 her though.
Well, regardless of whether it's "Shitty game design" or if it's just people getting salty from getting killed all the time, I have fun playing her and I feel like I'm actually contributing to the team when I do.
