Kind of a broad answer, but I would say be there for her beyond her needs. Meaning anyone can buy food, a roof over her head, school supplies, etc. That is expected. So be there for all parts of her life (without suffocating her.) Also, encourage her hobbies. Maybe help her figure out what she likes. my advice is this: They will amaze you constantly. Teach them to be nice to others. They are girls, boys will be attracted to them, get used to it. Part of humanity.

Also not saying body shame her if she puts on a bit of weight BUT DO teach her to eat healthy and be a good size for whatever height and build she will turn out to be. Thick and curvy is fine but no one likes a circle! Larger kids tend to feel more excluded and have a harder time making friends and if she is big by the time she hits puberty she will feel worse! Girls tend to have a far less than gratifying time when they hit puberty. Don't feed her soda all the time! It's sugar water and empty calories. Make hearty, healthy, home cooked meals as much as you can. And teach her how to cook and bake (yes there is a difference). There is lots of easy and yummy stuff you can make all over the internet! And listen to that one comment about self defense try to get her at the bare minimum to learn self defense if she shows an interest in it also try to get her to learn as many fighting styles as she can especially if she will turn out small and petite with an athletic build. Wing Chun is excellent for girls, specifically made for them and focuses on core strength! I wish I had been encouraged to stick with Ju Jitsu when i was learning it when I was younger :(
