Anyways, how is everyone?
>>709104448
can't complain
killing time until sleep takes me
>>709104386
yeah.
>>709104533
Sounds familiar
>>709104726
my nightly routine
>>709104448
I don't think I've ever asked why you chose the name Midi.
>>709104586
>>709104670
disgusting
>>709104797
Got more Renamon?
>>709104826
Used to lurk in the late 00's, deleted all my shit minus one folder. My MIDI folder which I forgot I had stashed some pics. Like my card and a few others labeled "midi#.jpg". When I decided posting a few years ago and became a namefag, it just seemed to fit.
>>709105176
Ah, cool. MIDI cables have quite sexy-looking connectors.
>>709105407
So why 8bit eh?
>>709105579
Pretty much just a lazy attempt at a name encompassing both technology and early gaming. I used variations of it before I used it here. Honestly had I known where things would go I probably would have chosen something less stupid.
>>709104276
hot
>>709105877
Sometimes things just stick. It's the honesty of life.
>>709105997
I suppose so. I guess I just learn to hate anything related to me.

Depression
Tonnes of sexy fur : http://pin.it/yZ_7-2u
Made earlier today
>>709106269
sorry
>>709106350
It is technically yours too if you want to edit it
>>709106274
And the worst possible way to share it.
>>709106269
I dunno if self-deprecation necessarily counts as depression
>>709106536
>A person having a major depressive episode usually exhibits a very low mood, which pervades all aspects of life, and an inability to experience pleasure in activities that were formerly enjoyed. Depressed people may be preoccupied with, or ruminate over, thoughts and feelings of worthlessness, inappropriate guilt or regret, helplessness, hopelessness, and self-hatred.
-Wikipedia
>>709106269
Well I'm not a furry but I enjoy the porn, so I guess that slot's filled
>>709106901
Or in the popular layman terms "Being a whiny crybaby, just get over it lol".
>>709106901
yeah, you're right, it counts
you can be depressed and not hate yourself, though
and you can also make self-deprecating remarks without being depressed
>>709106901
Fug I've been denying it for too long, I've gotten nowhere.
>>709107150
I know, just being a quotey quote pants. No malus intended.
>>709107199
>>709107120
see a mental health professional
there are a wide variety of chemical treatments - and therapies that don't involve drugs, if you don't want to take them
the first step to recovery is seeking help
>>709107351
oh, I know, we're all friends here, I like to think, at least
>>709107477
I've been on antidepressants for 10 years.
>>709107477
Non-medical techniques are always used first. Screwing up brain chemistry with mediciation can often make things worse or create new, longer lasting issues.
Also thanks, friend :)
I wish I was black so I didn't get depressed and got angry instead.
>>709107667
if you still feel depressed and it is affecting you life negatively then you need to change your treatment
I went through half a dozen combinations of drugs before I found one that did anything at all for my anxiety
I really wish I could offer you better advice, but I'm not an expert
It does sound like it might be worth your time to scope out opinions from professionals other than your current caregiver
>>709107815
in my experience in the U.S. doctors are far more likely to go to drugs as a first line, usually only exploring other treatment options if they are specifically requested
>>709108220
Any advice is better than you guys constantly telling me I'm a failure and not trying hard enough.
>>709108220
Honestly, I feel like I probably should see someone. I'm not non-functional, but the death of my mother still haunts me a bit and I know that it kept me in mourning for over 2 years until recently. Trips around the country and abroad was very good for me and has opened me a lot more than I was.
>>709108442
I'm truly sorry if that was the impression I gave earlier, it wasn't my intent
my diction can be a tad on the blunt side, but it's usually out of an attempt at levity and not from malice
really if you every want to talk about stuff I wouldn't mind lending an ear, and I'll try to pick my words a bit more carefully
>>709108811
It's ok... I think your comments got kinda wrapped up in the others anyway.
I'm going to try to sleep though.
>>709108683
I'm of the opinion that people should have regular checkups with mental health professionals, as we do with general practitioners
for some reason there is a stigma surrounding mental health in general, and people are often reticent to seek help
really all it takes is a bit of your time to see someone and talk about how you've been feeling recently - whether you feel the need to pursue further treatment from there is still entirely your choice
>>709109044
night bit.trip
>>709109044
goodnight, may your sleep be restful
>>709109060
No absolutely. I think it's just the fact that it's not heavily impeding my life that I'm hesitant to breach the subject with a practitioner. I feel like all I would do is just talk it out. Which, idk. I feel like I've done a lot anyway. Sometimes just burying it and moving on feels like a better move.
>>709109617
That's the way people typically handle things in our society: if it isn't killing you tomorrow, power through it
I just think it's sad that so many people suffer through things that are often easily remedied, especially mental health issues
psychiatry and neuroscience have made some large advances even in the last ten years, it's not as much hocus pocus as it used to be
Any gifs?

Thanks Sun. It's always good to get a second opinion.
