I used to find fluffy ponies fun. I was never really into the abuse, but they were amusing and kind of cute.
Unfortunately it just seems to be more and more of the same. Let's carve another talking animal's legs off because we know that hate it, let's kill their children in front of them, let's make their lives miserable because it's entertaining let's see how much pain we can inflict without killing them, let's laugh at the baby in the poo.
Honestly, the novelty has worn off, and now it just seems kind of sad. And frankly I'm not entirely sure that some of the fans aren't actually into real animal abuse, which I find horrific.

I find myself thinking the same thing at times but then again I've always enjoyed hugbox more than any of the other stuff. Some of the more hardcore abuse stuff makes me question whether some of the artists have deep-seated psychological issues. Hugbox actually brightens my day at times.

There are some great artists working on this stuff, and I've enjoyed doing some art and writing for the Booru myself. I agree it's nice to see a bit of cute now and then, and some of it is quite funny, but the darker stuff comes up, and I remember that kind of thing goes on in real life too (including stuff like the farms where they keep them in horrific conditions and breed them until they can't make any more, then throw them away without knowing any love in their lives, which is pretty much some puppy farms).

I know that there are a lot of great artists and authors but some of it just makes me go "Okay, that's enough internet for me today."
If there's abuse, I guess it helps take the sting out of it if there's some element of comedy to it like with the yard invasions. But abuse simply for the sake of abuse or "because fuck you that's why" as some artists put it, it, I don't know, it hits a nerve with me somehow.
As you said about the puppy mills, that's one of those things, ugh, it makes me sick to my stomach. Now add on to that that they can talk and vocalize their suffering.
I agree with the methodology in this one about breeding. Happy and healthy fluffies make more happy and healthy fluffies that also are more likely to be well-adjusted and well-behaved.
