What you need is something that generates smoke without burning too strongly. Cigarettes will do fine for example.
Light at best 3-5 at once and push them through the hole in the nest, Either do it fast as shit or use something like a stick to do it from a distance.
Keep an eye on it from a safe distance to make absolutely sure there's no fire a fire, but honestly, there's not really a chance of there being one if you use cigarettes.
After half an hour, most of them will be dead including the queen, which will make them abandon the nest.

There's a brand you can use that keeps them asleep, it's cheaper then the shit they use in bee keeping/wasp nest to keep them calm.
So while they're asleep when it's really fucking cold out at night, toss a few chips of that in it. Then spray the RAID inside with the chips of dry ice, the ice will start to smoke lightly so if any of the wasp that are on guard duty wont get upset.

Use a hose. Wasps don't know the difference between your hose and rain. You might get stung but unlikely since they are more worried about eggs/babies. I remove nests with the hose all the time. They relocate and never make nests in the spots you hose for some reason.
