PTSD flashbacks come in lots of different flavors, so they don't really 'look' like anything. It's just re-experiencing the event in some sensory fashion. You'd be surprised how many people have flashbacks due to smells.

Lamictal (Lamotrigine) is for people who have bipolar disorder. It's pretty well tolerated. If you are having problems with depression still you should start an antidepressant, but if you do have manic episodes that end up getting you into trouble you need to keep taking the Lamictal, even if you feel fine right now. and to answer your question, I get overwhelmed with responsabilities in life. The stressor you mention is linked to an increase in the amount of psychotherapies I conduct daily, and the relapse also coincided with the arrival of Autumn/Fall and shit weather.
I drink on weekends, as always. I never stopped drinking when taking the drug (my psychiatrist said a normal amount of alcohol is not harmful while taking the pill, despite common belief).
The paradox in my life is that the better things go for me, the more cripplingly anxious I feel, as the amount of responsability goes up in consonance.

My recommendations:
1. Start using a light box in the morning and around lunch. You'd be surprised.
2. Try getting more exercise. All work and no play....
3. Try some Propanolol or Clonidine. They help with the sympathetic response to anxiety.
4. Add a little snif of Wellbutrin. It hits the dopamine receptors that can help you feel gratification that you are helping more people instead of feeling stressed about the burden.
