Usually takes 4-12 weeks for adult animals to "tolerate" each other. I've taken in many cats and introduced them to the two I've always had.
There's recommendations for slowly introducing them but it's too late for that. Usually you'd take bedding from each other and swap them so they smell each other in a non-aggressive way and learn to cope with another male/female in their safe zone.
They will learn to live with each other, anon. I had one old biddy (20 year old cat) who would ALWAYS chase and non-claw slap the other cats even after years of being in the same house.
Had other cats where they dislike each other, but loved to sleep next to each other. Made for an interesting show when they woke up and remembered to be angry.
My personal timeline for introductions to happiness is around 3-6 months. Google states much faster timelines, but they often don't take personalities into account.
