Russia and China where/are Psuedo Communism, Yugoslavia had communism and did very very well for along time until the West started to interfere.
Russia never had Communism because they still had a large wealthy class, same for China which prevented the Communist Utopia which will happen if Communism is implemented right.
Also in Communism the party selects the leader and they change from time to time, China does this slightly better.. but still there are leaders of the party for far too long to be credible.
Given the vast inequalities in these Regimes, the lack of proper facilities for everyday people and a rich class being able to keep all property, Russia and China are clearly Communist in name only, failing to fully implement Communism.
We have never truely seen a Communism that redistributes wealth properly, I know it would be Utopia, it would work believably well, but alas we have had only greedy foolish men try to implement it, only for it to fail because of greed and corruption.

The problem lies with how we organize production. Modern Capitalist Corporations are controlled by a small number of shareholders, and that's the problem. If you have 10 shares, then you have 10 votes, if you have no shares, then that's how many votes you have. So if and a few other people own the vast majority of shares, you control who gets to run the Corporation on its Board of Directors. These people are the ones who decide where to produce, what to produce, and what to do with the profits.

Of hey small wonder that CEO's like Jamie Dimond pay themselves 20million a year while his tellers get payed $10-$16. Also small wonder that these people make decisions without remorse that crash the world economy that also enrich themselves and impoverish everyone else.
But, if these Corporations were organized as worker co-ops, where each worker has 1 vote in every decision, regardless of position, you wouldn't see these massive institutions making decisions they know would fuck over their communities and workers.

You ever heard that age old adage, that rich people save money, and poor people spend it?
Well that doesn't mean that you save money and spend wisely to get rich, it means that the rich literally have more money than they could ever hope to spend. There are only so many pairs of clothes, yachts, fancy meals, that you can buy. So when you have the richest of the rich, i.e. the richest 60 people on the planet, they lock up a ton of wealth that doesn't get circulated in the economy. This is achieved when the top executives pay their workers an incredibly small fraction of the profits that THEY generated. What's even worse is that, in order to cut costs, corporations like walmart will pay their workers starvation wages to help fatten profits.

Yeah maybe, but that doesn't discount that they hire a huge proportion of the US's workers, which means that the purchasing power of these workers drops substantially while all of the extra profit made by Walmart sits at the top and is effectively taken out of the economy. All the while killing of small businesses that would have paid those workers better. In exchange for "cheaper" goods, you need to take on all of these enormous social costs wherein communities slowly slip into poverty, which means that they provide less in taxes, therefore government services get cut. All of a sudden education budgets see their budgets cut, which is like shooting yourself in the foot if you want your economy to be able to compete in the global economy. There are many other issues that this quite frankly spastic system causes, and I have no idea why everyone sits about jerking Capitalism off every time someone tries to criticize its downsides.
