Alright, story time then, I suppose.
I should preface this by explaining I'm half German and half English with an accent that Americans find fascinating.
This happened about six years ago.
I was living and working in Japan as a business consultant. Had just been granted permanent residence and was making good money. Anyway, a friend of mine (an American) that worked as an English teacher says his brother is one of the organizers of Sakura-Con in the US.
I wasn't and have never been a weeabo-- I just happened to have a talent with the Japanese language and made my home there --- but I was asked to do a sit-down interview sort of thing for anyone in the audience with questions about my experience.
I had time off and wanted to see the US , so I said sure. Head over to the con and feel the bile rise in my gut as I looked out over what was mostly the largest crowd of jackasses I had seen since I saw the BNF do a street march.
Well, I am doing this make-shift interview with consumed teenagers asking me the most nonsensical questions (most have no real idea). During the questioning there are more and more girls coming to listsen.
After I'm done, a girl dressed as Lum comes up to me. She starts flirting with me, remarking my accent is "so fucking cool".
My inner-devil takes the controls and next thing I know, I'm banging this girl whom I didn't know the exact age of in her hotel room.
I did this again three more times with three different girls. It was just as easy as getting laid back in Japan.
Not much variety however, gents, at a cosplah gig. You either have cute girls with horrible social skills or fat-fucking-walruses that will assault you.
