General suicide awareness thread.
Earlier this month, October 3rd around midnight, my fiance took her own life. She had served in the Army for 6 years and did two tours in Hadji land, stationed in Kandahar both times. She dealt with many personal demons, depression, anxiety, PTSD and I don't even know what else. She hung herself from our bed with the rope from our sons swing on the front porch. My mom, brother and aunt found her when they were taking our son back home because they were babysitting him. My brother was asleep in the back room because he works with me but on third shift so he sleeps the majority of the day. They found her hanging there /b/...lifeless and cold. I can't even begin to imagine how scared or upset she must have been. I got the call from my aunt shortly after i'd got to work. I had stayed at my grandparents house the night before because I was house sitting..
I've been trying to deal with this /b/ but it's getting harder and harder. I txt her phone every day when I get up and before I go to bed. I have her hoodie, her hair brush and various patches from her uniforms and a few other things. To be honest, i don't really know where life is taking me at this point. Have considered an hero but I don't feel like that will solve anything and just pass the grief I carry on to my other family members. My brother was the first to find her and he's taken it pretty hard because he's not really very mentally strong when it comes to dealing with traumatic and emotional events.

You'll have to move on. If you have pictures of her, collect them, put them in a binder, and put the binder somewhere where you can find it easily but where it's not in plain sight. Even if things are going well, you ass backwards mine will convince you that there are "signs" that things are either "secretly getting worse" or "about to get worse" and offing yourself now, while things seem better may be a better way to end it. On a high note. She might have actually even been rather happy, and just saw now as "the right time" rather than sometime down the road.
