Industrial hurts like a bitch, takes a long time to heal as well.
As for the tongue just make sure they put in a long enough bar, I got my tongue done twice but the one further back had to be cut out.
The lower stud healed inside my tongue because the bar was too short for the swelling.

I used to have five piercings: three lip, the bridge of my nose and my right tragus. I stopped wearing them in when I got a software engineer job for a multinational corporation at 21. Been 5 years without them, they have healed up pretty well but have still left small marks.
