So what actually are these threads for? Is it some kind of fetish or do you guys just think it's funny to see cartoons get fucked up so bad. Genuine, non-judging curiosity here.

At that size, that's what's usually referred to as a microfluffy. I'd have to get a fairly big fish tank but I think I'd keep maybe a small herd of them and fill it with that nutrigel stuff you see sometimes in the comics. pic related.
>>
>>708323059
I'd probably take one or two as pets. I have an old dog, and a doggie door, should be pretty easy to teach them to shit and piss outside. I have mostly tile floors, so even if they do, it's not too bad to clean up. I'd probably like them because i really don't have much company around, it gets pretty depressing in my townhouse. At least with a fluffy, I'll have something to talk to that will give me a response of some sort.

If they keep Fucking up though, I'd probably go to the woods and shoot them, I'd kill every smarty and mercy kill weak ferals and runts

I'd be fun target practice, make them want to run from me,give them a minute because fluffies don't move very quick, then shoot them as they move, be a fun way to kill them off
>>
>>708325280
If they were any bigger than a terrier I'd have to rethink it. Microfluffies would be perfect, that way I can have a heard of the little fucks. Sperate the smarties into a separate tank, treat them like shit, make them see how good the others have it. Alas, tis but a dream.

And to expand further, regular fluffies are described as being anywhere from the size of a cat to a small/medium sized dog depending on the artist/author. For regular fluffies, I know some might think I'm crazy but I would fence off part of my yard (I have a large yard) and let a small herd keep it grazed down. Maybe put a net over the fenced in area because we have chicken hawks around here and a small animal like a foal would be easy pickings

>>708325280
Wait, what, you mean, they're big enough that they can take down cats. Is that by themselves, or in groups?

I live in a rural area, and well, we hardly ever see rats, but the one I did see a few years ago that was caught in a steel leg trap in our attic looked bigger than those two.

Hmm, maybe it was from getting into the nearby grain silo that made him get so big?

You basically just describe a human house hold, the only place these things can survive.

as is these things are too garbage to live outside for more than a weak, the reproduction excuse is bullshit since these things apparently have still borns with inadequate nutrician and a broken digestive system. the only way I can see these things surviving out in the wild is if there nearly total altrician save fore the few with less broken genes that can be favored by the environment's terms of selection.

well I think stillborns and disease are jsut a regular flaw in the fluffy design, that's why hasbio fluffies are worth more than fluffymill fluffies.

basically the idea for fluffies as they are surviving pretty much on the reproduction excuse, while having a garbage digestive system, bad nutrician and a tendency to bear still-born, it would make more sense that ferals in that form are just rejects or unsold fluffies abandoned to the elements regularly and just die through one of the many lethal factors of the world.

unless, we decide we can have some that do have in a kink in their programing and actually do mutate and evolve.

yesterday we talked about different things evolved from fluffies based on key instincts,

they are generally smarters and have better instincts,

the flight fluffies, now has eyes on the sides of their heads and have blendably coats and are nomadic, and can run really fast.

the fight fluffies, also known as 'toughies' strong bodies, hard headed and heavy hoofed, these thing have large herd, are territorial and nocturnal. they tend to have sick brawls in allies every night to win territory and mates, the are very aggressive and tough.

LAst would be the steal fluffies, they are scavengers, travel in very small family groups and pick discreet routes, are omnivores and can eat human foods. basically koiwolves.

>>
>>708338483
>If you need further proof, just look at all of the invasive species in our own environment that weren't supposed to be able to live in certain places and yet they do.

but in all cases they are suited to those environments to an extent, then become finely tuned through evolution.

the fluffies are not defualt suited to anything save for human captivity, once beyond that, they have little to no faculty to survive, and the reproduction edge is worthless unless they can evolve.
>>

I know, I was the guy you were discussing it with. I was just wondering if the picture you used to explain was established canon or the affectation of a specific group in the fluffydom.
I've also seen the liquid shit explained as a kink in relation to skunk dna, and thus not because of malnutrition. The fragility of the fluffies is only a problem if they are found and stillborns would only be a problem in seasons with low food intake.

It's embarrassing to admit this, but for the longest time I never noticed that one of the fluffies in the picture is a Sea Fluffy. That's why their foals are messed up and were stillborn. Mixing fluffy breeds don't always work.
>>

>>
>>
>>708340390
why does no one want these things to evolve, that could reinvigorate people's interest in fluffies again!
>>
>>708341082
Hmm yeah I've read a lot of those and it seems the picture you use is the only one that make them die off without special junk.
All the others tend to speak of their stupidity.
Even with stupidity, a hyperactive reproduction could enable them to survive. It's just rare that they survive to have several litters, but if they bring their first litter to sexual maturity, they don't really have to.
>>
>>708341626
It's not so much that I am against the idea of evolution, it's more that you are staunchly saying they wouldn't be able to survive in their original form in the wild at all.
>>
>>708341941
>it's more that you are staunchly saying they wouldn't be able to survive in their original form in the wild at all.
well the wouldn't, every animal people try to equate them too to make the idea work is already an organism suitable to surviving their environment in some way.

if you let them evolve you solve this lapse in logic. and get fodder for new and interesting stories.
>>
>>708342247

>>
>>708342633

>>
>>708342247

Something that just occurred to me is that they'd HAVE to survive in an outdoor, no humans environment for several hundred generations in order for a mutation to occur. Otherwise, if the feral population is just being replenished by only released pets or pet store cast offs, you're starting from square on with the DNA every time.
>>
>>
>>708342812
it used to show up on every thread along with a few others basically painting fluffies as something horrible that should rightfully be abused. it was hypocritical as hell. the cornerstone for justification was the proliferation of the ferals, which couldn't survive anyway, but people wanted to make cruelty righteous somehow, so thus the head cannon wars.

note this was long after most of the artists bailed.
>>
>>708342606
>>708342710
>>708342996
I really like the subtle differences in these, aside from the wings and horns I mean. You can almost see the personality traits in them.
>>708343302
What is the general consensus for the time they need to reach sexual maturity?
If it is a short while, several hundred generations could happen in a relatively short time.
>>
>>708343302
that still works within the agreed cannon though. if we want the evolved fluffies they could have been decedents of the unfinished fluffies released by PETA. the ferals heards that are still normal fluffies are the weekly toss outs that smarties can organize, boss and dispose of.

the evolved fluffies probably won't have contact with their garbage cousins,
>>
>>708343509
But hasn't it changed to the point where even in ferals, their personality traits were part of whether they fell afoul of regular people or not?
I mean abusers are gonna abuse, but I've seen feral stories with sensible fluffies surviving by figuring out how to interact with neutral strangers.

The absolutely earliest I've seen an author/artist have a pregnancy occur is at one month and that was shown to stunt the young filly's growth. Most of the ones I've seen have it at about 3 to 6 months as to when a fluffy is ready to breed.
>>
>>708343624

>What is the general consensus for the time they need to reach sexual maturity?

45-60 days to sexual maturity depending on artist/author.

30 days from conception to birth.

25-30 days from birth to weaning.
>>
>>708343986
usually those are smarty lawn invasion stories, problem is they tried pushing that to make the abuse righteous passed the point of pragmatism, they tried to make abusers look heroic in some way that was too much of a push for alot of people.
>>
>>708344134
So basically one new generation every three months?
That would make about 3 viable generations a year, with inevitable die off of young in the winter time, given they live in a suitable climate. If they worked together on stockpiling food, the winter generation might even have a chance of surviving.
That doesn't seem like much of an insurmountable difficulty for regular fluffies to survive in the wild.
>>
>>708344052
And here is the short series of images I was talking about.
>>
>>708344652
But haven't the stories moved past that to a more sensible middle ground?
>>
>>708344700
Also if the elder fluffies die off close to weaning time because of stupidity, there wouldn't be much of an increase in food consumption.
Their dying might even have a small part in their survival success. Also 2 fluffies can double their numbers with a single litter. So even if a few foals die, there is still a good chance of overall survival.
>>
Do you think the mods actually like these kinds of threads? When I report them, do you think that's like a board highlight reel for them?
>>
>>708345393
Why would you report them?
We're not breaking any rules and there is no board that is made to contain us. The mlp board don't want us and frankly I don't want to join them.
>>
>>708344700
its not as simple as those numbers, you have to compile all the hazards of the environment, and all the hazards of the fluffy design.

example, durning pregnacy, the mother is basically helpless, and exposure, starvation disease, or predator, you loose the whole game there,

if litter is successful, how many as healthy, how many are still born, how many can she feed? how many succumb to disease or exposure, predators, starvation, darwin award? if the mammah dies the babbies are fucked. so is the mammah getting enough foad, will she get sick or injured?

there is also the ever present danger of stupidity too.

you gotta consider factors like this in addition to these numbers.

again, if the level of attrition is very high, one can reason the high terms of selection would also start favoring ANY traits that give the slightest advantage.
>>
>>708345393
It seems like they don't care about this threads.

>>708345656
I'm thinking if they get out into the wild, there would be less inherent dangers and more food to survive on. Sure predators is a factor, but even a predator get's a full stomach from time to time.
If they gather in herds they have safety in numbers, since even a bear will run if enough people are yelling at it.
Cooperation can alleviate a lot of those problems.
They discard the runts and stillborns, just like regular animals and will eat some of their young to save the rest if food gets scarcer.
