I fly DCS mainly, RoF, IL-2 and even mess in Warthunder for shits and giggles, also Elite D and others. Mainly VR stuff now though, so if it supports it I will check it out I drive Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, iRacing, pCars stuff like that too.
And yes I was an old school Falcon 4 guy, still have my hardcover manual binders. BMS I just got re-setup and familiarizing myself with it again. But really after doing VR enabled stuff it is very hard to use monitors again.

Ok gents i look at these threads and i drool over your rigs. I used to have 2 laptops, both gaming costing me over a grand each (lenovo was 1200) and the both died, i lost my job in hopes of going into navy only to have them tell me i wasnt eligible half way to my basic training date. And since i didnt need one i hadnt been saving for a new rig or even laptop.
Now its been a year later, i have an ok job but bills still take 50% of monthly pay leaving me with maybe 600 a month b4 food and booze. How in seven hells can i get a newish atleast decent rig good enough to play rome 2 without a hitch.
My lenovo was a beautiful machine and played it flawlessly till the harddrive gave. I have atleast 300 dollars of games on steam i cant even play because of this. So basically im asking what do i need to build an o.k. rig in about 2 months. Budget about 800 lets say.

If you are cheap and/or capable of overclocking, you can even get an i3 and clock it to max. Since most games still use only 2-4 clocks, they can handle even most of the "hyped" games with ease.

What's the freaking point with all the pretty colors on your gpus and rams, why would you ever by a case with window on it? All it does is make it less sound proof, meaning more background noice. What I want is as much power as I can get, as quit as it can get, with as few distracting lights as possible. If I had space I'd drill a hole in to the wall between two rooms, run cables through the hole and keep the actual computer on in separate room.
If you spend your time oogling at your hardware instead of using it, you are doing it wrong. Besides all that extra bling on them just adds to the cost

The first day it worked just fine and the next morning I turnted the PC on and after an hour or so the PC just shut down and didn't turn on anymore. It only responded when I unplugged the 8pin CPU cable.
After a month I got a replacement, but the Mobo had killed my CPU too so now I'm hoping to get a replacement on that too.
