no, it was still under warranty.
the charge port broke, such that replacing the battery/charger didn't actually resolve the issue. I sent it back to them and they decided that my warranty was void, citing as evidence """water damage""" which were literally a few discolorations on the finish near the trackpad and keyboard and obviously had nothing to do with what I was complaining about
