It's more customizable, quicker, and generally easier if you know what you're doing. It has a higher learning curve depending on which kernal you use, and it's just all around better. You can always use WINE to run other programs that don't work.

Single # is a mormal trip, not a secure trip.
you can dl programs that will search for whatever combination of letters / numbers you want as a trip. but you cant search for a secure trip.
And even though you can search for it with a program it's still extremely unlikely that anyone would ever be able to search out the same string.

I think it's just as easy for me. I dont know how to type for real so to do ctrl c or ctrl v with the keyboard I have to look at where my fingers are. easier to just do it with 2 mouse clicks while never taking my eyes off the screen.
I do the ctrl stuff at work as the corporate computers have a lot of mouse features disabled. I still prefer mouse.
I'll stick with this for now. I'll dick around with it tomorrow or something.
