We barely send any troops to the Middle East anymore. For the most part, the wars fought there are fought between military groups/organizations that major global powers support and fund to fight. It is true though that we waste time there sending money, weapons, and other shit to arm mud people. This practice was made common mainly in the Cold War, though it did exist before then. It really just enables major global powers to fight wars without causing any large scale casualties to their own people or to their countries. The media largely blocks out these facts now, leading us to believe that most of the fighting done in the Middle East is done by US troops. I suppose it gives us a sort of blind patriotism. The main reason I'm voting Trump is because he wants to put American citizens before foreign nationals. At the moment, the government seems to care more about foreign policy than domestic policy, even though we have major issues here.
Have an analogy: two houses are on fire - yours and your neighbor's. Whose house do you, personally, put out first? Any normal human being would obviously say, "I'd put out my house first," but that is exactly what we aren't doing.
