Low pressure cans like Ironlak will "sputter" to a degree. It's a lot harder to get a clean, uniform line and more often than not it will be fuzzy. It also depends on caps.
High pressure cans like Molotow will give cleaner lines but also take a little more skill as you have to move the can quicker to stop paint building up in any one spot.
But you're right, no cans will sputter so much they break up lines unless they are very cheap/cheap caps that block easily.

Apparently it was pretty easy to spot people who purchased paint versus stealing it. Most times before going out for a session they would go and steal paint. One person would occupy the store hand while two or three would go into the store and fill their bags with cans before leaving.
