not anymore but when i was 8 or 9, our teacher told us that ancient greek story of that half-human half-bull thing who trapped people in mazes to eat them.i couldn't sleep in the dark until i was like 14-15 because of that story.from time to time i would even puke from fear and stress that he was going to burst in my room by the window and eat me.even now that i'm 28, i often find myself thinking about that story while i'm laid in the dark, and feel a weird ball of stress in my belly.Then i just force myself to forget about it and sleep.

Fear of the dark is a primitive instinct, which isn't needed in modern life. The chance of bumping into a burglar in your home in the dark is really, really low, at least where I'm from. Would suck to be afraid of 'nothing'. I'm glad I grew out of it when I was a teen.

Why should you even fear the dark? There's nothing in the dark that wants to harm you. There's only what you want there to be. If you are scared of the dark, you are actually scared of what's inside you. It is only in your head. I, for one, am scared of ignorance.
